memory: README does not state the search_nodes query length limit #5200

Closed

Description

@cliffhall

Problem

src/memory/index.ts limits the search_nodes query to SEARCH_QUERY_MAX_LENGTH (2048 characters) in its input schema, so a longer query is rejected. src/memory/README.md lists the input only as a string.

Expected

The README states the 2048-character limit.

Prior work

The PR(s) above targeted the pre-refactor code and are closed as part of the backlog triage in #4875; this issue is where the work continues, with the PR(s) as a prototype. Thank you to their authors.
