docs: add Claude for Open Source to acknowledgments - #2279
Conversation
List the programs that support oRPC's maintainers, starting with Claude for Open Source. The section sits after Sponsors, so `pnpm sponsors:sync` (which rewrites Sponsors up to the next `##` heading) leaves it intact. Reviewed changes
Adds an identical ## Open Source Programs section to the root README.md and all 28 packages/*/README.md files, placed between the sponsors block and ## References.
- Root + 28 package READMEs — a one-row HTML table linking to the Claude for Open Source program (with a
cdn.simpleicons.org/claudeicon); +10 lines each, no other edits.
I verified both referenced URLs resolve (the link renders the Claude for Open Source page, the icon returns the Claude SVG), that the section survives pnpm sponsors:sync (the sync's replaceSponsorsSection stops at the next ## heading, which is now ## Open Source Programs, so the sponsors block is still regenerated without eating the new section), and that eslint passes on the touched READMEs.
ℹ️ Playground READMEs share the same sponsors tail but were left unchanged
playgrounds/*/README.md carry the same Sponsors section, regenerated by the same scripts/sync-sponsors.ts walk that covers every README, so this acknowledgment now appears in 29 files but not those. That is fine if the scope is deliberately "published packages only" (playgrounds aren't published); flagging it only in case "consistent visibility across all documentation" was meant to include them. The section is also manually maintained — the sync script emits only the sponsors block, so it will not be auto-propagated to any README.

Use one shared intro line naming middleapi, matching the Sponsors section, instead of naming each project. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com> Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01SHKwSaNZ8xqeGXJu7nfSKX

## Summary Adds an **Open Source Programs** section to the READMEs (root, `packages/types`, `packages/downgrader`), listing the programs that support middleapi's maintainers. It starts with Claude for Open Source: > [middleapi](https://github.com/middleapi) is supported by these open source programs: The entry is the Claude logo (from Simple Icons) linking to the [program page](https://claude.com/contact-sales/claude-for-oss). Add more programs as extra `<td>` cells in the same row. The same section went into [middleapi/orpc#2279](middleapi/orpc#2279) and [middleapi/standard-server#170](middleapi/standard-server#170), with identical wording. ## Notes - The section sits between **Sponsors** and **License**. `scripts/sync-sponsors.ts` rewrites Sponsors only up to the next `##` heading, so `pnpm sync:sponsors` leaves the new section alone. - `packages/types/tests/README.md` has no Sponsors footer, so it is unchanged. - `uncheck` passes on the changed READMEs (oxlint, oxfmt). 🤖 Generated with [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) https://claude.ai/code/session_01SHKwSaNZ8xqeGXJu7nfSKX <!-- Macroscope's pull request summary starts here --> <!-- Macroscope will only edit the content between these invisible markers, and the markers themselves will not be visible in the GitHub rendered markdown. --> <!-- If you delete either of the start / end markers from your PR's description, Macroscope will append its summary at the bottom of the description. --> > [!NOTE] > ### Add Open Source Programs section to READMEs > Adds an "Open Source Programs" section to [README.md](https://github.com/middleapi/openapi-spec/pull/64/files#diff-b335630551682c19a781afebcf4d07bf978fb1f8ac04c6bf87428ed5106870f5), [packages/downgrader/README.md](https://github.com/middleapi/openapi-spec/pull/64/files#diff-34d485a858c6fd891a9cdcfab1819164aa5b27725d81a298a098a1ad31c8374d), and [packages/types/README.md](https://github.com/middleapi/openapi-spec/pull/64/files#diff-338878d368fc59a12766753a76207a892f090da5fbb5b152707d8dad21003e9d). ## Summary Adds an **Open Source Programs** section to the package READMEs (the root `README.md` symlinks to `packages/core/README.md`, so it is covered too), listing the programs that support middleapi's maintainers. It starts with Claude for Open Source: > [middleapi](https://github.com/middleapi) is supported by these open source programs: The entry is the Claude logo (from Simple Icons) linking to the [program page](https://claude.com/contact-sales/claude-for-oss). The same section went into [middleapi/orpc#2279](middleapi/orpc#2279) and [middleapi/openapi-spec#64](middleapi/openapi-spec#64), with identical wording. ## Notes - The section sits between **Sponsors** and **License**. `scripts/sync-sponsors.ts` rewrites Sponsors only up to the next `##` heading, so `pnpm sponsors:sync` leaves the new section alone. - The playground and `tests/bun` READMEs only carry a Sponsors footer, so they are unchanged (same as the playgrounds in oRPC). --> > [!NOTE] > ### Add Open Source Programs section to package READMEs > Adds an "Open Source Programs" section to all seven package READMEs under `packages/`. Each section sits between the sponsors content and the License section, states that middleapi is supported by open source programs, and links a Claude for Open Source entry with an external icon. Documentation only; no code changes. > > <!-- Macroscope's review summary starts here --> > > <a href="https://app.macroscope.com">Macroscope</a> summarized f5a8b2e. > <!-- Macroscope's review summary ends here --> > <!-- Macroscope's pull request summary ends here --> --------- Co-authored-by: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com>
Acknowledge the two open source programs that give [middleapi](https://github.com/middleapi) repos free access, alongside Claude for Open Source. ## Changes - Added [Pullfrog for OSS](https://pullfrog.com/for-oss) and [Macroscope for Open Source](https://macroscope.com/open-source) to the "Open Source Programs" table in the root README and every package README. - Shortened every label in the table to the product name (Claude, Pullfrog, Macroscope). The full program name stays in each link's hover title. - Logos use each tool's GitHub App avatar (the same image their bots show on PRs here), at 64px to match the Claude entry. - `packages/mcp/README.md` was created after the section was introduced in #2279 and never had it, so the full section is added there too. The section is now identical across all 30 READMEs. --- _Generated by [Claude Code](https://claude.ai/code/session_01RThHiMUZrjMd9fYVh7dxZp)_ --------- Co-authored-by: Claude <noreply@anthropic.com>

Note
Add Claude for Open Source acknowledgment to all package READMEs
Adds an "Open Source Programs" section stating middleapi is supported by Claude for Open Source, with a linked Claude icon. The same section is added to the root README.md and every README under packages/ (ai-sdk, bun, client, cloudflare, contract, effect, zod, and 20+ others).
