chore(cursor): resync install.sh tool pins with ci-workflows defaults #154

Closed

Description

@kyle-sexton

Problem

.cursor/install.sh pins its local tool versions by hand. The pins have fallen behind the ci-workflows action defaults they are meant to mirror:

  • The comment names ci-workflows v0.17.2 as the authority for these pins. The current ci-workflows release is newer.
  • typos is pinned at 1.49.0. The ci-workflows default is 1.50.1, and build(deps): bump typos and check-jsonschema defaults ci-workflows#631 raises it to 1.50.3.
  • MARKDOWNLINT_VERSION is 0.23.2. That matches for now, but nothing keeps it in step when the pin changes.

When local checks run different versions from CI, a check can pass locally and fail in CI, or the reverse.

Proposed fix

  • Bump the pins to the current ci-workflows defaults, and point the comment at the current release.
  • Consider reading the versions from ci-workflows' action.yml defaults, or putting the file under Dependabot/Renovate tracking, so this does not drift again.

Found while working on melodic-software/ci-workflows#628.
