"Get To Work" is already taken on Steam, so this renames the game to GottaGottaGottaGo: To Work We Go (short form GottaGottaGottaGo).

What changed

Player-facing titles, docs, store copy, and packaging now use the new name:

  • Window title, title-screen banner, in-game heading, thanks line, AI notice, Steam disclosure, prompts, transcripts
  • README, CONTRIBUTING, NOTICE, LEARN, ARCHITECTURE, DISTRIBUTION, Steam store/checklist/SteamPipe files
  • Executable / folder / archive names: GottaGottaGottaGo, GottaGottaGottaGo.exe, GottaGottaGottaGo.app, GottaGottaGottaGo-<version>-<os>-<arch>
  • Bundle id com.markelphoenix.gottagottagottago
  • User-Agent GottaGottaGottaGo/<version>
  • Repo URL refs: https://github.com/markelphoenix/GottaGottaGottaGo
  • Data folder: %LOCALAPPDATA%\GottaGottaGottaGo, ~/Library/Application Support/GottaGottaGottaGo, ~/.config/gottagottagottago
  • Documents export: Documents/GottaGottaGottaGo
  • New Ollama import tags: gottagottagottago-<model>:<quant>

In-story prose is unchanged: "How do you plan to get to work?", "YOU GOT TO WORK!", and similar.

README/docs no longer claim the repository is private. They also do not claim it is public.

What stayed gettowork (invasive / compatibility)

Renaming these would break imports, existing installs, and saved launch options:

  • Python package directory src/gettowork/ and import gettowork
  • pip/CLI entry points gettowork, gettowork-gui, gettowork-cli
  • Environment variables GETTOWORK_*
  • Transcript format/filename prefix gettowork-transcript
  • PyInstaller recipe filename packaging/gettowork.spec

Existing GetToWork / gettowork data folders are still used so downloaded models are not orphaned.

Tests

python -m pytest in this environment: 3605 passed, 60 skipped, 29 failed. The same 29 fail on main here (Rich 15 wrapping / 80-column substring asserts: RTX 3060 line, crash.txt path wrap, smoke-test substring, review table). They are not rename regressions.

Smoke launch: python -m gettowork --mock --no-jev --target 1 showed the new banner and heading, kept "How do you plan to get to work?", and printed "Thanks for playing GottaGottaGottaGo: To Work We Go!".

Reviewer report

Implementer: Cursor Grok 4.6
Reviewer: Grok 4.7 (separate subagent, no implementer context)

Round 1 (Grok 4.7)

Flag Severity Handling
.github/workflows/build.yml still said "Private-repository budget" Important Reworded to "Actions budget"; no private/public claim
macOS CFBundleDisplayName was the full name (colon). Finder can show : as / Important Set CFBundleDisplayName to GottaGottaGottaGo so it matches the .app folder. Window title still uses the full official name
New Ollama import tags still used gettowork- Important New tags use gottagottagottago-. Saved old tags still work because the full tag is stored

Round 2 (same reviewer)

Second-check clean: no leftover product-name hits, no broken imports, no colon paths, no private-repo claims.

GitHub repo rename

Attempted after this PR opened: gh repo rename GottaGottaGottaGo --yes

Failed. HTTP 403: Resource not accessible by integration (https://api.github.com/repos/markelphoenix/GetToWork). This token cannot rename the repository. GitHub MCP has no rename tool. No workaround was used.

Someone with admin access on markelphoenix/GetToWork can rename it to GottaGottaGottaGo in the GitHub UI (Settings → General → Repository name). GitHub will redirect the old URL.

"Get To Work" is already taken on Steam. Player-facing titles, store copy,
packaging (exe, .app, archives, SteamPipe), window title, and repo URL now
use the new name. The Python package, pip/CLI entry points, and GETTOWORK_*
env vars stay gettowork so imports and existing installs keep working.

Existing GetToWork data folders are still used so downloaded models are not
orphaned. README/docs no longer claim the repository is private.

…ame, Ollama tag

Drop the remaining private-repo billing claim in the build workflow. Use a
colon-free CFBundleDisplayName that matches the .app folder. New Ollama import
tags use gottagottagottago- instead of gettowork-; saved old tags still work.
