Summary

  • Fix Kimi Coding Plan quota reports that omit monthly usage when /coding/v1/usages returns usages.limit_month_total / monthTotal or the coding-only limit_month_code / monthCode fallback.
  • Convert fractional used_ratio / usedRatio into consumed percentages and preserve optional reset timestamps. Keep existing limit/used/remaining arithmetic authoritative and preserve the legacy 5-hour, weekly, and separate total subscription-credit windows.
  • Read monthly usage at the payload root and through the existing data / quota envelopes. The shared parser covers both account-login and API-key probes; authentication, canonical destination checks, redirect handling, and request behavior are unchanged.
  • Add focused regression coverage and update the provider guide and structure contract. This carries a small locally deployed parser fix into upstream without deployment-specific files, credentials, or configuration.

Verification

Current head: 6053826

Bun 1.4.4 on Linux. Commands below used the initialized checkout Bun binary on PATH and umask 022 for tests.

  • Added 16 regression cases for the two CodeRabbit findings (42 Kimi monthly-quota cases in total). Before the parser fix, the expanded file reproduced the problems: 28 pass, 13 fail. After the fix, all Kimi cases pass.
  • bun test tests/providers/kimi-monthly-quota.test.ts tests/providers/provider-quota.test.ts tests/providers/provider-account-quota.test.ts tests/cli/cli-account-key-quota.test.ts tests/test-layout.test.ts tests/test-layout-tooling.test.ts tests/ci-workflows/file-size-ratchet.test.ts — 330 pass, 0 fail, 2,150 assertions across 7 files.
  • bun run typecheck — passed, no type errors in 2,262 files.
  • bun run privacy:scan — passed.
  • bun run structure:check — passed.
  • cd docs-site && ASTRO_TELEMETRY_DISABLED=1 bun run build — passed, 633 pages built and 91,473 internal links checked.
  • git diff --check and git diff --cached --check before commit — passed.

Broad import-connected run and failure isolation

umask 022; bun run test:changed — 37,867 pass, 108 skip, 3 fail, 494,957 assertions across 1,655 files in 544.60 seconds. This run is not green. Failures were:

  1. tests/claude-integration/claude-config-root-late-admission.test.ts: cli gateway admission 3 reports committed intent/profile accurately — 5,000 ms timeout.
  2. tests/clients/link-relay-bound-transport.test.ts: post-proof data reset is never a preflight auth timeout — the 20 ms auth deadline expired.
  3. tests/windows/windows-config-root-async-writers.test.ts: GCP cleanup completes before a parent flight queued after provider publication — 5,000 ms timeout.
  • A combined bare rerun of those three files was stopped after ACL cleanup work repeatedly outlived cases; it was not successful and is not included as passing evidence.
  • bun test --parallel tests/claude-integration/claude-config-root-late-admission.test.ts tests/clients/link-relay-bound-transport.test.ts tests/windows/windows-config-root-async-writers.test.ts --test-name-pattern 'cli gateway admission 3 reports committed intent/profile accurately|GCP cleanup completes before a parent flight queued after provider publication|post-proof data reset is never a preflight auth timeout' — 2 pass, 1 fail, 209 filtered out. The CLI-admission and relay cases passed; GCP cleanup timed out again. Test deadlines were not increased and no unrelated source or tests were modified.
  • In a separate pristine worktree at upstream dev commit 1783523b4c999a7d3b3d82c6fb07a7895ff93446, without either Kimi commit, bun test tests/windows/windows-config-root-async-writers.test.ts --test-name-pattern 'GCP cleanup completes before a parent flight queued after provider publication' — 0 pass, 1 fail, 128 filtered out: the same 5,000 ms timeout. This establishes that the persistent failure also exists without this PR in this environment.

Local scope exception: the complete 2,849-file repository suite was not run on this shared host. Focused parser/auth/cache/layout regressions and static/docs checks pass; the broad import-connected run remains failing as reported, with two cases passing targeted recheck and the persistent GCP timeout reproduced on pristine upstream. Required upstream CI and maintainer review remain necessary before merge; fork workflow runs still require maintainer approval. No real provider requests were made by the new regression tests.

Earlier head (8d4abab), for context

The initial focused run had 305 pass, 0 fail. Its broad run had 37,742 pass, 108 skip, 7 fail, plus a GUI setup error, under an inherited umask 077 and an uninitialized npm Bun shim. After correcting that environment, the affected-file rerun had 424 pass, 2 skip, 0 fail. These earlier results do not supersede the current-head results above.

Checklist

  • Scope stays focused and avoids unrelated cleanup.
  • Docs or release notes were updated when needed.
  • Security-sensitive changes were reviewed for secrets, auth, and unsafe defaults. This is a parsing-only change with synthetic fixtures; existing authentication and destination safeguards are unchanged.

Review readiness checklist

This PR stays in draft until every box below is ticked. Tick all four boxes once the requirements are met:

  • Required local validation passed; commands, results, and any full-suite exception are documented.

  • I pushed my PR to a recent dev commit (at most 10 behind; a maintainer may still ask for the exact tip before merge).

  • I resolved all correct Codex and CodeRabbit findings.

  • My PR is ready for review.

Summary by CodeRabbit

  • New Features

    • Kimi Coding Plan quota reporting now includes monthly usage and reset times for account-login and API-key connections. Monthly usage is shown when valid data is available, including when total limits are unavailable but code-specific limits can be used.
    • Monthly quota remains separate from existing 5-hour, weekly, and subscription-credit windows. Missing or invalid monthly data is not displayed as zero.
  • Documentation

    • Added guidance on Kimi monthly quota reporting and supported usage data.

Walkthrough

Kimi quota reporting now includes monthly usage from supported payload fields and locations. The parser reports a monthly percentage and optional reset time while keeping existing quota windows separate.

Changes: Kimi monthly quota reporting

Layer / File(s) Summary
Parse and assemble monthly quota
src/providers/quota/vendor-probes-key.ts
The parser selects legacy quota data independently, searches supported containers for a usable monthly row, validates counters and ratios, and adds the monthly percentage and optional reset time to the quota result.
Test and document monthly quota
tests/providers/kimi-monthly-quota.test.ts, docs-site/src/content/docs/guides/providers.md, structure/providers-and-adapters.md, scripts/test-layout/layout.json, tests/fixtures/test-layout-expected.json
Tests cover authentication modes, payload locations, field precedence, calculations, invalid values, and legacy quota windows. Documentation describes monthly usage fields and behavior. Test-layout mappings include the new test.

Change: Bug fix

Merge Risk: Minimal · previous review b65a9

The monthly-quota change has no established merge-blocking defect. Empty legacy placeholders can still hide nested quota windows, but that behavior predates this change.

Full details: Title check

Explanation

The title "fix(kimi): report monthly Coding Plan quota" matches the main change. The PR adds parsing of Kimi Coding Plan monthly usage from the /usages endpoint, using limit_month_total/monthTotal with a limit_month_code/monthCode fallback, and it adds tests and docs for this. The title is concise, specific, and follows the conventional-commit style. It does not cover the legacy-window separation or the docs and layout updates, which is acceptable for a title.

Full details: Docstring Coverage

Explanation

Docstring coverage is 80.00% which is sufficient. The required threshold is 80.00%. Docstring coverage is scoped to functions touched by this diff with cyclomatic complexity of at least 2. Documentation-only edits and deletions within surviving functions are included; unchanged diff context and fully deleted functions are excluded. Analyzed 5 functions across 2 files.

A used count above the limit, or a negative remaining count, means the
window is used up; dropping the row would let an over-quota account look
available. Impossible counters still fall back to the ratio.
A negative remaining next to a lower used count still means the window
is used up; check both overages before choosing a counter.
An exhaustion signal now wins even beside an impossible companion
counter, and a positive remainder can no longer round up to an
exhausted window.

Follow-up Comments

Minor follow-up Unwrap root placeholders such as usage: {} and limits: [] before choosing the legacy envelope.

1137-1138: Minor · Functional Correctness · Quick win

Unwrap root placeholders such as usage: {} and limits: [] before choosing the legacy envelope.

kimiLegacyWindowBody treats {} and [] as usable data. When the root has one of these placeholders, the function returns the root and skips a populated data.usage or data.limits. The weekly and 5-hour percentages are then dropped from the quota report, and routing does not see them.

Suggested fix
-  const usable = (field: unknown): boolean => field !== undefined && field !== null;
+  const usable = (field: unknown): boolean => {
+    if (field === undefined || field === null) return false;
+    if (Array.isArray(field)) return field.length > 0;
+    const record = asRecord(field);
+    return record === null || Object.keys(record).length > 0;
+  };

1138:
Update the `usable` check in `kimiLegacyWindowBody` so empty objects and arrays
are treated as placeholders, not usable legacy data. Preserve non-empty values
and the existing root-versus-nested selection so populated `data.usage` or
`data.limits` is selected when root fields are empty.

Maintainer integration into dev (account lidge-jun) at head 43998d1dcdfce76853b42408b85534bf0e074d08. The PR is moved out of draft by a maintainer for this integration; the contributor checklist gate re-drafted it after maintainer follow-up pushes.

fix(kimi): report monthly Coding Plan quota. Maintainer follow-ups (each with routing regressions that fail before): an outer monthly container no longer hides exhausted nested weekly/5h windows; counters are validated; any exhaustion signal wins; overages read exhausted; a positive remainder never rounds to exhausted. Provider quota tests 242/0.

  • The branch merges current dev; exact-head required CI passed (ci, enforce-target, hygiene, test 1/4–4/4, ci:full).
  • Independent review (gpt-6.1-terra, high): fresh final review PASS on this head.
  • No unresolved threads or changes-requested reviews.

Thanks for the fix.
