Scoped capability review of 5b86cf384ccd1f9a4d73f1c58bd6f5caeb7b7290: the adapter change reuses the existing coding-agent projection and keeps CN's raw-image refusal, which is a focused scope. The mock demonstrates that a Global turn serializes an image; it does not by itself establish native vision for every live/seed model.
QODER_GLOBAL_MODEL_INPUT_MODALITIES currently marks all seven fallback seeds image-capable, while the provider E2E receipt is for a 2.82.0 backport and the description does not identify the model(s) exercised. Please name the tested model and link the primary Qoder CLI/model evidence supporting each advertised seed (or limit the modality map to the supported subset). Account entitlement discovery and model image capability are separate facts; an unknown live model must retain the intended fallback/sidecar behavior rather than inherit an unverified capability.
Keep the saved-config and stateless historical-image association caveats explicit. The two successful image turns are useful scoped acceptance evidence, not proof that arbitrary multi-turn image/tool-result association is lossless. This PR is still Draft, with incomplete current-head readiness/CI; no live provider invocation or new local test was performed here.
Current-head evidence update — 2026-10-11
At ef7bc4f463a9b859138b399a40728bbbbc4e04b0, I checked the rebased six-file diff and the additional CN correction. I also independently consulted the official Qoder CLI model documentation, whose Frontier Models capability table explicitly lists vision for all seven current fallback IDs: Qwen3.8-Max, Qwen3.7-Max, Qwen3.7-Plus, Kimi-K3, Kimi-K2.7-Code, GLM-5.3 and GLM-5.2. This supplies the primary-source model-capability evidence requested above; I withdraw the unsupported-seven-seed concern rather than keep asking for evidence that is now available. This documentation establishes advertised CLI capability, not current-account entitlement or an independently measured real-provider outcome.
I independently ran five focused existing regressions on this exact head with Bun1.4.0/Linux: 5 pass / 0 fail / 72 filtered / 22 assertions. Command: bun test --no-env-file --isolate ./tests/providers/qoder-adapter.test.ts --test-name-pattern 'keeps Global and CN profiles|fails closed before spawn for a non-canonical destination|Global image-capable seeds|keeps residual Qoder CN|forwards Qoder image input' --timeout 10000. The cases cover regional profile/executable/environment selection, noncanonical-destination refusal, the seeded image capability, residual CN raw-image refusal before spawn, and Global projection into the injected child's stdin. All CLI children are synthetic EventEmitter/stream fixtures; no Qoder installation, real CLI/provider/account request or billed call occurred. The map assertion excludes an unknown live ID; it is not a claim of all unknown-model runtime behavior.
The docs now explicitly retain both the saved-noVisionModels caveat and stateless historical-image association limit. The two historical 2.82.0 backport image receipts remain author evidence with the model unreported, not exact-head E2E or proof of lossless arbitrary image/tool history. Naming the actual tested model would improve that receipt; it does not negate the primary seven-seed documentation above.
The PR is now Ready, not Draft as in my earlier snapshot, but exact-head Cross-platform38106661321, Catalog38106661327 and React Doctor38106661305 remain action_required. Target/hygiene pass. This focused check is not the author's 77-case run, full-suite/typecheck/build or required-CI completion, and is not a whole-PR approval. Execution was serial with fresh mode700 /tmp homes, verified CPU75%/memoryHigh1280MiB/max1536MiB/swap0/tasks64/nice10 and finite90-second ceiling; IOWeight20 is configured without delegated io enforcement. No scan, sponsorship, workflow authorization or live-service change.

@Ingwannu Addressed the capability-scope concern in Changes:
Focused validation on this head: Qoder adapter test 77 pass / 0 fail, typecheck PASS, structure check PASS, diff check PASS. No new real-provider E2E was run for this correction. |

Follow-up on exact head eb75367b9356caa36f95d02cdb132266e4b5f459: I checked the five-file capability correction since ef7bc4f.
Removing the seeded per-model modality map makes the distinction clearer: the fallback roster is not model-discovery/entitlement evidence, and Global raw-image forwarding is the Qoder CLI/service contract, not an OpenCodex assertion that each underlying model has native vision. The updated fixture deliberately forwards an unknown live ID through the injected Global child, while CN's raw-image pre-spawn refusal remains covered. The public and structure docs now describe that distinction, including saved configuration and historical image-association limits.
My earlier five-case result belongs to ef7bc4f, not this head. I have source-reviewed this delta but have not rerun it or invoked a real Qoder CLI/account/provider. Your 77-case receipt remains author evidence. The two historical 2.82.0 E2E turns are not current-head acceptance; naming their actual tested model remains useful, without turning that into an unsupported per-seed requirement.
No new concrete correctness blocker found in this correction. This remains COMMENTED, not APPROVED: exact-head Cross-platform CI 38114455868, Catalog async contracts 38114455987 and React Doctor 38114494348 are action_required, and required review/readiness are separate from this source assessment. No scan, workflow authorization or branch modification.

Thanks @juzijia. This change is carried into #6951 as commit 0140477 (a squash of 11684e9, ef7bc4f and eb75367), with a |
…d Qoder Global images (#6921, #6932, carry #6906) (#6951) * feat(qoder): forward Qoder Global image input to the CLI (carry #6906) Remove Qoder Global's adapter-local blanket image rejection so image-bearing turns use the shared coding-agent image projection. Qoder CN keeps its residual raw-image refusal. The static Global roster stays a degraded discovery fallback and no longer seeds noVisionModels. Carried from #6906 by @juzijia (eb75367). Co-authored-by: cubebox <58514883+juzijia@users.noreply.github.com> * fix(responses): preserve user turn models during shadow interception (#6921) * fix(zcode): honor bootstrap data root and preserve ownership (#6932) * fix: address bundle review findings (#6932, #6906) - ocx export resolves the advisory destination before writing --out; an unresolvable client location (relative override, or ZCode bootstrap settings naming an unknown data root) is reported as unknown instead of failing after the file was written. - A startup repair removes a saved Qoder Global noVisionModels list that is still exactly a retired registry seed, so existing presets forward images to the Qoder CLI like fresh ones. Edited lists and rows the registry no longer owns are left alone. * test(zcode): expect restore to re-stamp the restored ownership record (#6932) restoreIntegration deliberately writes the restored record with the restore operation's own opId and time. Three relocation cases compared the record to the pre-disable copy byte for byte and failed on every runner (Cross-platform CI 38144972518, test 3/4). Assert the exact record instead: every field equals the original, and opId/appliedAt equal the restore journal entry's. --------- Co-authored-by: cubebox <58514883+juzijia@users.noreply.github.com>
Summary
QODER_GLOBAL_MODELSlist only as the degraded discovery fallback forqoder --list-models; it is not used as a per-model vision capability list.modelInputModalitiesornoVisionModels. Image compatibility and any model-specific preprocessing or routing are handled by Qoder CLI/service behavior rather than inferred from the fallback roster.unsupported_input_modality.qoder --list-modelsdiscovery authoritative and do not add an adapter model allowlist. This PR does not claim that every underlying vendor model is natively multimodal. It treats image input as a Qoder Global CLI contract and leaves model-specific compatibility/processing to Qoder.
Scope intentionally does not add persisted-config migration, change Qoder CN capability classification, modify shared coding-agent protocol, alter Responses replay fingerprints/continuation dedup, or touch the MCP/tool bridge.
