What

Resolves #6502 and completes the Antigravity Claude 5.5 catalog transition following #6514:

  • Adds static Claude Sonnet 5.5 and Opus 5.5 to the Google Antigravity (agy / google-antigravity) catalog, resolving picker and static/offline visibility when live discovery is off or pending.
  • Configures static effort ladder mapping (low, medium, high) to suffixed wire IDs (claude-sonnet-5-5-low/medium/high, claude-opus-5-5-low/medium/high) with medium default, preventing HTTP 404 "Requested entity was not found" ([Bug]: Google Antigravity fails with HTTP 404 "Requested entity was not found" when requesting claude-sonnet-5-5 #6502).
  • Retires 4.6 Claude models with operator effort preservation: saved or requested selections for claude-sonnet-4-6 and claude-opus-4-6-thinking map to the matching 5.5 tier (high -> -high, low -> -low, unstated -> -medium, max/xhigh/ultra clamped to -high) without contradictory thinkingConfig.
  • Updates context windows to 1,000,000 tokens and input modalities to ["text", "image"] based on live upstream evidence from CCA :fetchAvailableModels.

Evidence from live upstream :fetchAvailableModels

Querying the live Cloud Code Assist backend (daily-cloudcode-pa.googleapis.com/v1internal:fetchAvailableModels) confirms:

  • claude-sonnet-5-5-low, claude-sonnet-5-5-medium, claude-sonnet-5-5-high
  • claude-opus-5-5-low, claude-opus-5-5-medium, claude-opus-5-5-high
  • Upstream metadata: maxTokens: 1000000, maxOutputTokens: 128000, supportsImages: true
  • claude-sonnet-4-6 and claude-opus-4-6-thinking are completely absent upstream and reject requests with "Claude Sonnet 4.6 is no longer available. Please switch to Claude Sonnet 5.5."

Changes

  • src/providers/antigravity-models.ts:
    • Static picker models (ANTIGRAVITY_MODELS): replace 4.6 entries with claude-sonnet-5-5 and claude-opus-5-5.
    • Wire registration: register six 5.5 wire IDs in ANTIGRAVITY_WIRE_MODELS and ANTIGRAVITY_PICKER_MODEL_BY_WIRE_ID.
    • Ladders and default: add 5.5 entries to ANTIGRAVITY_MODEL_EFFORTS, ANTIGRAVITY_EFFORT_WIRE_MAP, ANTIGRAVITY_SUFFIX_TIER_MODELS, and ANTIGRAVITY_DEFAULT_EFFORT.
    • Context windows and modalities: set 1M context window and ["text", "image"] modalities. Historical 4.6 entries kept at 250k.
    • Retired routing (RETIRED_CLAUDE_BASE): resolve retired 4.6 requests to 5.5 while preserving operator requested effort.
    • Usage attribution: keep retired Claude IDs in ANTIGRAVITY_USAGE_BASE_BY_ID so historical 4.6 logs remain unchanged.
  • Tests:
    • tests/adapters/google/google-antigravity-wire.test.ts: update catalog/hidden expectations and verify 5.5 wire routing and 4.6 effort-preserving redirects.
    • tests/adapters/google/antigravity-discovered-families.test.ts: update cache invalidation test to use unbundled future-flash family so fallback coverage remains non-tautological.
    • tests/providers/provider-antigravity-wire-snapshot.test.ts: use unbundled family to verify snapshot invalidation without static shadowing.
    • tests/providers/provider-registry-parity.test.ts & tests/oauth/oauth-provider-reconcile.test.ts: update canonical registry assertions.

Verification

  • Rebased directly on current upstream/dev (7e7468af0).

📝 Walkthrough

Walkthrough

Antigravity’s model registry now exposes Claude Sonnet 5.5 and Opus 5.5 with low, medium, and high effort tiers. Routing selects suffixed wire IDs and maps retired Claude 4.6 IDs to the corresponding 5.5 model. Catalog and routing tests reflect these changes.

Mark the Antigravity base overlays as derived.

Line 375 and Line 379 use status: "verified", but their sources cite Anthropic list prices, not a confirmed Google Antigravity rate. The Antigravity pricing note at Lines 305-310 uses verified-derived when CCA billing equivalence is unpublished. src/usage/cost.ts, Lines 252-314, passes the overlay status to downstream consumers. Set both rows to verified-derived.

Selectively adapts pricing from source PR lidge-jun#6497 at 742bd6f after lidge-jun#6501 landed. Preserve discovery routing and historical model identities.

Partial disposition: #6514 is now merged into dev as aa40fb4158260196669346ab0e0dd55f679fd13e, with source-author credit. It carries the Claude 5.5 reference-pricing intent and adds stable tier/base usage aggregation. The reference prices are explicitly derived estimates, not a claim about Antigravity subscription billing.

The static catalog/metadata replacement and automatic 4.6-to-5.5 migration were not carried, so this PR remains open rather than being closed as fully superseded. #6501 already supplies discovered-family routing; a bounded current-account request succeeded for the 5.5-high wire ID. That observation does not establish the original Windows/multi-account 404 cause.

Please narrow any follow-up to the remaining fallback/retirement proposal against current dev, preserve a saved operator effort selection, and supply evidence for the proposed metadata rather than inferring it from the old 4.6 rows. The integrated carry has required scoped CI at https://github.com/lidge-jun/opencodex/actions/runs/37132498856; full release validation remains separate.

…n retired 4.6 redirects (lidge-jun#6502)

- Add static Claude Sonnet 5.5 and Opus 5.5 base models and wire IDs (low/medium/high) to Antigravity catalog, with medium default and 1M context windows matching upstream CCA :fetchAvailableModels evidence.
- Map retired Claude 4.6 IDs to 5.5 while preserving operator requested effort (low/medium/high) and clamping max/xhigh/ultra to high without sending redundant thinkingConfig.
- Update registry parity, reconciliation, snapshot, and wire routing tests to verify static fallback and effort preservation.

Add focused coverage for the remaining retired-ID paths.

tests/adapters/google/google-antigravity-wire.test.ts:749-770 covers one Opus and one Sonnet retired ID, but not claude-opus-4-6 or claude-sonnet-4-6-thinking. Add a table-driven assertion for all four retired IDs. Include max, xhigh, and ultra in the same case to verify that each maps to the corresponding 5.5 -high wire ID. Add one minimal case to cover the fallback to the 5.5 -medium wire ID.

Do not add separate high, low, and default tests for each missing alias. The existing cases already exercise those behaviors for both target families.

Review comment at @tests/adapters/google/google-antigravity-wire.test.ts around
lines 719 - 770:
Extend the retired-ID coverage in the tests around `parsedWithEffort` and
`buildRequest` to include all four retired Opus and Sonnet aliases in a
table-driven assertion. Verify `max`, `xhigh`, and `ultra` each route to the
corresponding 5.5 `-high` wire ID, and verify `minimal` falls back to the 5.5
`-medium` wire ID; avoid duplicating the existing high, low, and default cases.
