Checkpoint repair threads sometimes execute the PR wait script directly or repeatedly sleep and inspect checkpoint service status, keeping agent turns open during passive work.
Route authorized repair PR waits through the existing resumable Wait for PR action, explicitly requiring the tool handoff and immediate end of turn. Add a read-only Wait for Checkpoint action that observes one active service run and returns a fresh terminal result, with attention outcomes for stale or missing state, failed probes, replacement runs, and timeout. Recovery alerts and release guidance identify the appropriate actions.
Validation: 56 focused checkpoint/supervisor/action-kit tests passed; scripts typecheck and Quick CI passed for the current head. A read-only CLI check returned the expected attention result with an idle service. No application restart or checkpoint run was used for verification.
Implemented with Codex (GPT-6), with GPT-5.6 Luna agents for investigation, implementation, and review.
