I like making things that help people make things.
Some of that happens through JX Holdings, LLC. Most of my public work lives here.
I'm Jeffrey — I make software, music, stories, and games, and occasionally things that are harder to categorize.
A lot of it starts with the same question:
Why is this so much harder than it needs to be?
I like removing barriers — technical, creative, or otherwise — without removing the person along with them. Technology should help people do more. It shouldn't make everything feel the same.
Remove the barrier. Keep the soul.
🗂️ CardSpokePut things where they make sense to you. A lightweight, local-first knowledge app built around flexible card trees — notes, research, weird 2 AM ideas, whatever needs somewhere to live. No required account. No required server. Your stuff stays yours.

Use AI without marrying the framework. A small, model-agnostic TypeScript layer for talking to AI providers through one pipeline — cloud, local, streaming, tools, agent loops — without becoming the whole application.

I think AI is genuinely exciting — and that we should be asking harder questions about who controls it, how much energy it burns, and what happens when a handful of companies own the gate.
I'm especially interested in local AI, model choice, decentralization, and creative tools — not because I want AI to make things for people, but because I want more people able to make things they couldn't before, and have the result still feel like theirs.
Most of this isn't public yet, but it's what I keep coming back to:
- Local AI, made less intimidating — a platform for experimenting with local models without requiring you to become a part-time infrastructure engineer.
- Design that holds up under AI-assisted development — giving AI coding tools stronger, more explicit visual direction so a project doesn't drift after every change.
- A scratchpad for musicians — recording, organizing, and comparing chord progressions. A sketchbook, not a composition suite.
- Staying in each other's lives — technology that gently nudges you back to people you care about, without turning friendship into a productivity system.
Different projects, same idea: technology can be adaptive and assistive without taking over.
I'm a musician, writer, and gamer, and it shows up everywhere — sometimes directly, sometimes just as a design choice that makes more sense once you know how I spend my free time.
My repos wander through:
AI · KNOWLEDGE · DESIGN · MUSIC · GAMES · WRITING · ODD LITTLE EXPERIMENTS
I like useful things. I also like weird things. The best projects are often both.
- AI Context Nugget — small, reusable infrastructure for giving AI apps structured context.
- Spec Driven Docs — experiments in specs and docs that don't depend on everyone remembering what was decided three weeks ago.
- AI Chatbot — one of several experiments in simpler, more approachable AI interfaces.
Plenty more stays unpublished — unfinished, or just not ready for other eyes yet. Some of it may graduate to the JX Holdings, LLC org as it grows up. Some of it will probably stay weird little things forever.
Remove the barrier. Keep the soul.
