idle-check.sh L19 has REGION="us-east-1".
install-idle.sh accepts --region (L55) and writes all /openclaw/wake-config/* parameters in that region. But it copies idle-check.sh with no change (L347), and the systemd unit sets no region.
Problem: With --region eu-west-1, idle-check.sh reads SSM in us-east-1 and finds nothing. It also sends stop-instances to us-east-1. Idle shutdown does not work outside us-east-1.
Fix (one way):
- In
idle-check.sh: REGION="${IDLE_REGION:-us-east-1}"
- In
systemd/idle-check.service: add Environment=IDLE_REGION=${REGION}
- In the
sed at install-idle.sh L352-354: add -e "s|\${REGION}|${REGION}|g"
