The client uses a valid target-session pair to select a local preferences path that is independent of the bridge socket. Tests cover path identity and restoring preferences across bridge processes. Documentation in English, Japanese, and Chinese describes the remote UI preferences that are saved and restored. * fix: retain remote sidebar preferences across attaches refs herdrdev#4364 * test: cover remote preference identity handoff --------- Co-authored-by: JJ Liebig <jonathan.liebig@gmail.com>
Remote attaches use a bridge socket whose path changes with each process, so reconnecting to the same SSH target and session loses the saved sidebar width and collapsed state. Give the local client a stable preferences identity derived from the SSH target and session, while retaining per-process bridge sockets and the existing local-endpoint fallback.
The identity uses length-delimited components before hashing so targets and sessions cannot collide at component boundaries. Update the next-release remote persistence docs in English, Japanese, and Chinese. Existing preferences stored under old transient bridge paths are not migrated.

It also checks the local fallback for missing or malformed remote identities.
The process-boundary test launches isolated test children using the same environment setup and reader as the remote client. It verifies that the current target/session overrides a stale identity and restores sidebar preferences across two bridge paths. Temporarily removing the identity handoff makes the test fail on the selected preferences path; restoring it passes.
