Description
MCP Structural Analysis (2026-07-31, discussion #49334) found that
search_repositorieswith an explicitrepo:qualifier returned an unrelated top hit (github/gitignore, ranked by star count) instead of the targeted repository. The qualifier does not appear to reliably scope results, which undermines any workflow relying on this tool for repo-specific lookups.Expected Impact
