The error just highlights an error condition which should not happen for longer periods of times but it may happen due to bursts of project config invalidations. There is an attempt to reduce invalidations again, but generally as most invalidations are triggered by periodic tasks causing sometimes backlogs -> delays.

An approach to fix this would be if Sentry asynchronously computes the new project config without removing the already calculated one from the cache.
