It would be awesome if the web pages opens the app (if installed) when accessing the page (eg: riot.im/app) via mobile browser. Otherwise the now shown alert is appropriate.

    We're just implementing a change to provide mobile users with better instructions when they navigate to /app. Is there a robust way for a web page to open an iOS/Android app if it is installed?

    I think the tactic of telegram is quite convenient.
    I'm not totally sure how this is achieved.
