Linkified room links in ED open in EX, not ED

Steps to reproduce

1. Someone sends a message like 'can you ask in #element-android:matrix.org`
2. The message body is: "msgtype": "m.text", "body": "can you ask in #element-android:matrix.org"
3. The room alias is linkified by ED to https://matrix.to/#/#element-android:matrix.org
4. Clicking on the link in ED opens up EX (given i have EX installed on macOS)

Outcome

What did you expect?

I'd expect ED to switch to the right room

What happened instead?

I definitely don't expect the linkified link to open up the EX desktop app instead

This is still happening, and is feels incredibly flakey. If I click on a Matrix link in EW, I expect it to open in EW. Not a random other Matrix client.

Element Web is just opening matrix.to in a new tab when clicking on aliases, so the bug seems to be that it's linkifying into a real matrix.to link rather than linkifying into an internal link that jumps to the room. Known room aliases turn into pills that jump to the room though, maybe the bug only happens for rooms you're not in?
