Settings → Chat font size scaled the transcript and the prompt cards but not the message box: with a mouse it stayed at --fs-chat, unscaled, although its comment says it is typed at the size the transcript is read at. It now uses --fs-chat scaled by --chat-scale, as ChatView.css does for the transcript's body text. On touch it keeps --fs-input as its floor (iOS zoom) and grows with a chosen size above it. …wser composer-fit-demo-regression measures the box against the transcript's --chat-fs-body at 390px (touch) and 1440px (mouse), with no size chosen and with 20px: with a mouse it matches, on touch it is never under 16px, and with no size chosen it keeps 15px / 16px. It fails on the previous CSS (390px at 20: box 16px, transcript 21.43px). Settings → Chat font size applies to the message box as well as the transcript and prompt cards. A mouse uses the transcript's scaled size; touch keeps a 16px floor and grows with larger sizes. The default remains 15px with a mouse and 16px on touch.
Changing the setting while a multiline draft exists remeasures the automatic input height after the CSS setting applies. Drafts remain intact, and heights chosen with the resize grip remain chosen. The setting description, translations, design documentation and Unreleased changelog describe the resulting behavior.
