…nd accounts keep the order given (#408) Stacked on #407 (the top panel's removal); this PR's base is that branch, so only its own change shows. ## Change A chip beside Settings picked, per account, the limit closest to running out. So Claude usually showed its 5-hour session and Codex its week, and the numbers side by side did not compare. Accounts the user had not ordered were sorted the same way, by whichever was nearest a limit, so the strip reshuffled as usage moved. - **Limit shown** in Settings → Subscription usage: **Weekly** (the default) or **Session**. Every chip shows the plan-wide limit of that kind, never a model's own week. A plan without it (Cursor's month, an account that reports only a week when Session is chosen) shows its limit closest to running out, as before. - **Accounts keep their order.** The user's order comes first, as it did; the rest follow as the server lists them instead of by the nearest limit. **Nearest limit first**, the button that dropped the user's order, is gone with that sorting. - The popover is unchanged: it lists every limit of every account. What changes for someone who has the meters on and never opened these settings: the chips show the week instead of the nearest limit, and the accounts stop reordering. The idea of a weekly choice is from #343 by @Haeminway1; this is written against the chips, without the "nearest" option. ## Validation - `bun run typecheck` - `HERDR_TEST_MODE=unit bun test ./src/lib/usage.test.ts ./src/lib/settings.test.ts ./src/lib/i18n.test.ts ./src/motion.test.ts`: 50 pass. New cases: `glanceWindow` (the plan's week or session, a model's week skipped, the fallback, no limits at all), the server's order for unarranged accounts, and the stored setting keeping only `week` or `session`. - `bun run build`, then `checkUsageMeters` from `scripts/usage-regression.ts` on a staged report: PASS. It now expects the chips in the server's order showing each plan's week, and after choosing **Session** in Settings that Claude shows its session while Cursor and the week-only Codex account keep theirs, with `usageGlance: "session"` stored. - Looked at the evidence screenshots of Settings at desktop and phone width: the **Limit shown** row sits under **Meters show**, and the accounts header has no reset button. - Not run here: the full `bun run test:ui` and `bun run test:integration`.
Bumps package.json and herdr-plugin.toml to 0.3.48, moves the Unreleased notes under [0.3.48] - 2026-10-04 (with the PR links #403, #405 and #406 lacked), and adds the compare link. Raises the remote PC bundle to 15 (the bridge starts herdr on a stale socket, #405; `/api/worktree/create` takes `agent`, #401): push the `remote-v15` tag and let the bundle workflow publish before running release.yml. Carries #393, #376, #403, #405, #402, #400, #397, #406, #401, #407, #408. 🤖 Generated with [Claude Code](https://claude.com/claude-code) Co-authored-by: Claude Fable 5.1 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Change
The plan meters had two places: chips beside Settings (the default), or a panel at the top of the sidebar chosen under Settings → Subscription usage → Where (#206, reshaped in #336). The panel takes the top of the list, on a phone about a quarter of the drawer before the first workspace, for numbers the chips already show and the popover lists in full.
This removes the panel and the choice:
UsagePaneland its styles are gone;MachineSidebarno longer renders it.usagePlacementsetting and the Where row in Settings are gone. A device that stored"top"reads as any unknown key does: it is dropped, and the meters show beside Settings.formatResetShort,formatResetAtandleftLevelinlib/usage.ts, the--meter-ok/mid/lowtokens (and their rows in DESIGN.md), five strings in the ko, ja and zh dictionaries, anddocs/screenshots/usage-top/panel.png.The chips, the popover with every limit, and the account order, hiding and used/left settings are unchanged.
#341 folds this panel on a phone and #343 is stacked on it; with the panel gone, #341's usage part no longer applies.
Validation
bun run typecheckHERDR_TEST_MODE=unit bun test ./src/lib/usage.test.ts ./src/lib/settings.test.ts ./src/lib/i18n.test.ts ./src/motion.test.ts: 49 pass. The i18n test confirms no dictionary entry is left unused.bun run build, thencheckUsageMetersfromscripts/usage-regression.tsagainst a server of its own on a staged report: "PASS plan meters beside Settings: accounts, order, hiding, used or left, overflow, popover, refresh, Escape, off switch and phone fit". Its top-of-the-list section is removed with the feature.bun run test:uiandbun run test:integration.
