line renderer creates phantom lines when using the lasso

when marking a spike with the lasso and not including the whole spike a line is drawn, which should not exist.

this issue is not really solvable in the current setup. Since you are not selecting lines but points. And the point renderer doesn't have a clue about that there should be a point in between.

An option would be to switch to a dot selection in the selection render mode
