What are the advantages of using nodejs-portable over ZIP archive provided on NodeJS website?

Hi,

There is a ZIP archive provided by NodeJS website.
I would like to know if the ZIP archive can be used as a portable version or not. If it can, What advantages does nodejs-portable provide over the ZIP archive?

One advantage I can think of (besides the automation) is that the shell uses the portable instance of node when using the node command. This might be trivial but it can be really important for things like scripts where it would be tedious if not impossible to replace the node command with the full path of the executable from the ZIP.
