The current timing is not particularly accurate, although it does give a good relative timing for identifying when a performance problem has been introduced, by making calls and doing a continuous time check within a loop.
I am currently working on an improved timing of function calls that will be more accurate, and once complete I can incorporate this into the unit test framework.
