Resolve pending point counts before sizing textures.
When a point-count change is pending and a configuration change triggers Graph.update(), simulation.updateTextureSizes() uses the old count before create() calls graph.update(). applyDataUpdates() then uploads data using the stale texture size. If the new count requires a larger texture, the resources remain undersized.
Move graph.update() before simulation.updateTextureSizes() in this update path.

Update — The first push resolved the data model inside The description is rewritten to match. Six tests, all failing on 🤖 Generated with Claude Code |
…nge no longer strands a setter A rebuild uploads each per-element channel its flag names and clears the flag. It assumed `render()` (or the standalone `applyData()`) had resolved the inputs first, but a config change that rebuilds the graph — a new `spaceSize`, the simulation switched on — reached the rebuild directly. A setter made since the last render was then uploaded from the previous resolved array, its flag spent, and the following render skipped it: new colors, sizes, shapes, images, positions or links never reached the GPU until the next setter call. A count change also sized the position textures from the old count, so the added points had no texel. The rule: there is one rebuild per class, the private `update()` of `Graph` and of `GraphSimulation`, every path goes through it, and it resolves the data model before the texture sizes and the uploads read from it. - The enable-simulation branches stop hand-rolling the rebuild: they create the force modules, mark forces dirty and call `update(1)`. The upload step ensures the simulation's textures itself whenever the simulation is on, which the branches used to do by hand and the position upload only when positions were flagged. - That ensure is now a true ensure: the velocity texture is per-pass scratch (every force pass clears it before writing, and the position update consumes it in the same pass), so it only has to exist at the current size. The zero fill it used to upload on every call was a wasted allocation and upload, and on this path it would have run on every rebuild. - `render()` syncs only the point and link counts before its empty-graph check; the full resolve runs once inside `update()`, as it did once before. The empty-graph branch still resolves in full, so the getters see the empty graph. - The standalone `applyData()` drops its own resolve for the same reason. - The render-order upload no longer needs its explaining comment: it was the one channel that had worked around this. - Six tests, each failing on `main`: colors set before a `spaceSize` change (grey instead of red), points added before one (the second point missing), both again before the simulation is switched on, and the standalone's points added before either change (read back as the old list, or as NaN). Three more pin that a rebuild mid-run leaves the trajectory alone and that a layout set mid-run moves as a fresh one does. Update — A review finding said that moving What the finding did catch is a wasted allocation and upload per rebuild, 16 MB at a million points. The method now returns early when the texture exists at the current size and zero-fills only the texture it creates; the comment states the scratch rule.
