Acceptance port: an issue asks for a contract only by an Intent that asks or a person's factory:contract label; acceptance read whole when none asks (#290) - #296
Conversation
…asks or a person's factory:contract label (#290) First cut; decision 0046, mutants and the review still to come. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
- decision 0046 adds to 0025: when an issue asks for a contract, and what is read whole when none does - the contract rows of 0015, 0018, 0022, 0025 and 0026 wait on adapters/contract.py; whether one is asked is held - a snapshot whose closing issue asks is not whole on acceptance, tested; the acceptance mutants killed by hand Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…erson ends it; another base is not whole (#290) The review and security pass's fix round: - the label binds until a person removes it (L-17), as standing_labels reads a control label; an App acting with a person's token is no person, and a same-second removal reads as placed - the labels GitHub lists on the issue must agree with its timeline, else not whole - a pull request to a base other than the default carries no closing reference (P-33): not whole - every Intent a Lifecycle runs is pinned in a test; the unused CONTRACT_INTENTS is gone - decision 0046 states the author-written closing link as the known limit, and its rows name every test Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…port Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
…binding to its issue filed as #295 (#290) - Muse's read: a closing read of a shape GitHub does not give is refused, never another error; tested, a mutant - the 502 case holds a whole body, so the status check alone refuses it - 0046 names #295 as its known limit's story, and its row waits on adapters/binding.py Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

…no clock; the mint, the scratch folder and the schema walk fail closed The record takes 0048, by the order the Factory Builder set: #293 keeps 0046 and #296 takes 0047. CI's shard 2 said the signal mutant SURVIVED: its one test was marked as timed by the wall clock, which the mutation check skips. The stand-in now says on a pipe that a read has begun and holds it until the script is signalled, so no clock is read and the test runs under the mutation check; dash kills the mutant. Codex on PR 298: - A mint curl says failed is never trusted, however whole its answer reads: the token is revoked and the run stops. - The raw answers' scratch directory is held outside the repo, as OUT is, through a link too; the template names TMPDIR, which macOS's mktemp -d alone ignores here. - check_apps reads a facts schema whose properties or $defs are not objects as unreadable instead of raising. - The grounding says what P-47 recorded: admin and write, a maintainer's role read as write, and read; triage was not tried. - The Controller's metadata grant names read:facts.actor.can_write, as the reader's does. - A permission is a repo's: read and kept by repo and login, and its cost counted per repo, never "one request an item". Each new guard has a test and a mutant. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

…he head and #296's closing read Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>
… round's mutants read its new text #296 landed decision 0047. Two mutants still named the text the Codex round changed, in check_apps.fields and the mint's cut-short test; each is repointed and killed. Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 5.5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Closes #290. This builds the Maintainer's rule of 2026-10-21, adopted on #191 (comment 6327479372), and records it as decision 0047 (the queue order: #293 keeps 0046, this takes 0047; it is enqueued only after #293 merges). 0047 adds to decision 0025.
What it adds
adapters/acceptance.pyreads whether the issues a pull request closes ask for an acceptance contract.fixorimplement, which no Lifecycle runs yet) or when a person adds thefactory:contractlabel (kernel/terms.py).standing_labels): only a person ends what a person placed (L-17). An App or the machine user, even acting with a person's token, neither asks nor ends a person's ask. A removal in the same second reads as placed.acceptanceis null and read whole. Slice 1 no longer defers on every pull request.adapters/contract.pyreads the contract, so the Kernel defers.adapters/facts.pyputsacceptanceandcomplete.acceptancein the snapshot from this read.adapters/contract.py.The known limit
The author writes the closing references, so removing "Closes" removes the ask. That is acceptable for slice 1, because
fixandimplementpull requests will be opened by the Factory's own Roles. Binding a pull request to its issue by its Run record or branch is filed as #295, "Acceptance: a pull request is bound to the issue it serves by its Run or branch, not by its author's closing link". 0047 names it, and its row waits onadapters/binding.py.Gates
