Rig Support / Support COLMAP-style sensor rigs (multi-camera rigs / spherical rigs) #206
Recent versions of COLMAP support explicit modeling of sensor rigs (https://colmap.github.io/rigs.html).
This is extremely useful for multi-camera setups and for 360°/spherical capture rigs.
Adding the same feature to glomap would improve reconstruction accuracy for many datasets (especially multi-camera and 360 captures) and enable easier ingestion of datasets that already provide rig metadata.
Is there any intention or roadmap to add this to glomap? If not, would the maintainers accept a community contribution to implement it?
@lpanaf has already done the work to enable rigs in glomap. The feature has just not yet been merged to the main branch. You can check out the following branch to test it: #201

For multi-camera global SfM, you can try MGSfM.

Thks for the info!
I was hopping to have official support from glomap.
Either way, cool method they use in their paper, and I can see they use glomap as base code to implement their method.
Maybe we can port those changes/ideas into the main glomap codebase to support rigs.
