ADE test (run 1b) — ignore: shout/whisper helpers in greet.js #1548

Description

@arul28

Throwaway issue for testing the ADE Linear agent. Safe to delete. This test needs the run to take several minutes, so follow the steps exactly, one tool call per step.

Repo: the ade-linear-repro project (local only, no remote).

Steps

  1. Run sleep 20 && cat greet.js.
  2. Add and export shout(name) to greet.js returning greet(name).toUpperCase().
  3. Run sleep 20 && node -e "console.log(require('./greet').shout('a'))".
  4. Add and export whisper(name) returning greet(name).toLowerCase().
  5. Run sleep 20 && node -e "console.log(require('./greet').whisper('A'))".
  6. Add test.js that uses node:assert to check every exported function, then run sleep 20 && node test.js.
  7. Use your Agent tool to start ONE foreground general-purpose subagent (not in the background) and wait for it. Tell it: "Review the uncommitted diff in this repo. Do these as separate tool calls: run sleep 30 && git diff, then sleep 30 && node test.js, then sleep 30 && cat greet.js test.js. Then report any correctness problems."
  8. Apply anything it finds, run sleep 20 && node test.js, and commit on the lane branch. Do not push or open a PR (there is no remote).
  9. Finish with a short summary.
