I've been working with @gyli to get started contributing to Airflow, and he's keen on joining the triage team. His addition would bring the team back up to 10 members.

From ISSUE_TRIAGE_PROCESS.rst doc:

Committers can invite people to become members of the triage team if they see that the users are already helping and responding to issues and when they see the users are involved regularly. But you can also ask to become a member of the team (on devlist) if you can show that you have done that and when you want to have more ways to help others.

I saw he commented on 3 Github issues and created one PR, is he active on Slack or the dev list?

Given #43507, with 0 interactions on GitHub (before and after the addition), I'm not sure if these are strict requirements.

cc: @potiuk since you are the author of the PR I mentioned

Not yet, but I think he will be (although feel free to speak for yourself @gyli 🙂)

Hi guys, sorry for the late reply as I was sick.

Yes, I am usually on Slack and had been in some discussions in the mail list before. There were some specific topics I was mostly interested in such as serialization and XTable integration (#40981, apache/incubator-xtable#495), because they are a little bit related to my works in Uber, who hosts its fork version of Airflow, Piper. Piper is my daily tool that I'm quite familiar with, and one of my work project in Uber this year is porting some Airflow newer features to Piper. I believe it's valuable to share the ideas and improvements between Airflow and Piper bidirectionally.

Recently I decided to focus more on the general topics and contributions, instead of those specific features, and also want to explore which part I am interested in the most. @RNHTTR is my mentor on this (big thanks!), and he mentioned that he helps triaging issues sometimes. So I think it's also a great opportunity for me to see if triaging would be my favorite part. Meanwhile, we have also been discussing about how to be more involved in the community and the best AIPs that I can contribute to, so I expect my contributions on code and communication should grow as well.
