Thanks for the suggestion! We try to stay aligned with how @angular/fire handles this, and they also have @angular-devkit/schematics as a dependency. That said, on main we were pinning too strictly (~0.1800.0). With v2.1.0 (see PR #200) we're switching to >=18.0.0 which should allow npm to dedupe properly and reuse your project's version. So this should improve with the next release!

angular-cli-ghpages v3.0.0 is out! 🎉 We switched to version ranges (>=18.0.0 <22.0.0) for the @angular-devkit/* dependencies, which should resolve the installation conflicts. We now support Angular 18 through 21.
