Summary

  • Adds a Checkout context source, separate from Repository (which clones on send). Type # and use the Checkouts tab, or choose Checkout from the paperclip menu (the + menu on mobile).
  • Enter inserts a chip for that message. Command-Enter, or the picker's checkbox, also links the checkout to the thread. Linked checkouts show in Thread Details and are included in later turns. Claude is given the folder; other providers receive the path.
  • The list is project roots and T3 worktrees the environment already knows, plus a pasted path. It does not scan the disk. A checkout on another connected machine is listed and cannot be selected.

Test plan

  • Type # and a folder name and confirm Checkouts opens with name, branch, path, and change count
  • Command-Enter links the checkout; Enter only inserts the chip
  • Paperclip → Checkout uses the same columnar picker, including "Also link to thread"
  • Hover the sent chip and confirm path, branch, HEAD, changes, and agent access
  • Thread Details lists the link, unlinks it, and Locate refuses a different repository
  • On mobile, + → Checkout attaches a chip
  • A checkout on another environment is visible and cannot be selected

Made with Cursor

A checkout is a folder already on disk, so it stays separate from a repository attachment that clones on send. The # menu, paperclip, and mobile attach menu share one picker, and linked checkouts are added to later turns.
