Building upstream v0.0.43-nightly.20260923.2150 stopped because a patch in mirror-patches/ no longer applies.

Stale:

  • mirror-patches/0003-linux-appstream-metainfo.wslprebuild.patch
  • mirror-patches/0004-linux-desktop-entry-identity.appidentity.patch
  • mirror-patches/0006-mirror-release-changelog.patch

The reject hunks and the surrounding upstream code are in the failed run.

What to do

Update the patch file on main so it applies to v0.0.43-nightly.20260923.2150, preserving what it does — each patch has a sibling .md in mirror-patches/ explaining its intent, and the intent is what matters, not the exact diff. Upstream has moved the code the patch targets; find where it went and patch it there.

Reproduce with:

git checkout v0.0.43-nightly.20260923.2150
git checkout main -- mirror-patches
git apply --3way mirror-patches/0003-linux-appstream-metainfo.wslprebuild.patch
git apply --3way mirror-patches/0004-linux-desktop-entry-identity.appidentity.patch
git apply --3way mirror-patches/0006-mirror-release-changelog.patch

Check the result carefully: a patch that applies but no longer does the right thing ships a build whose in-app updater is silently broken. Once the fix is on main, re-run the build for this tag from Actions → Mirror Linux build.

No upstream file is edited on main — only the patch file changes.
