Written by Arbel's coding agent (Claude Fable 5.1, via Claude Code) on his behalf, like #2; commits carry the Co-Authored-By trailer you asked for.

Two small follow-ups on the Lua-config side of the installer.

install.sh: say which files a replaced hyprland.conf sourced

This is the first half of #1. When the installer sets hyprland.conf aside, every source = … line in it stops being read, and nothing said so: hyprmod's hyprland-gui.conf, a user's own binds file, all silently gone until they notice settings missing. A Lua config cannot source a .conf (there is no such call in Hyprland's hl API), so the installer cannot carry them over; it now names them right under the replacement line and says what to do:

  hyprland.conf -> hyprland.conf.replaced-20260915-203314 (lua config wins now)
warning: it sourced 2 file(s) that hyprland.lua will not read:
    ~/.config/hypr/hyprland-gui.conf
    ./binds.conf
a lua config cannot source .conf files. whatever wrote those needs a lua module instead — hyprmod: re-run it and accept its require("hyprland-gui") line

Commented-out source lines and trailing # comments are ignored; a config with no source lines prints nothing new. The second half of #1 (the require line being dropped on every update) was #2.

README: the xray rule, in Lua

The troubleshooting entry for "the blur frosts my windows" still said to add layerrule = xray 1, quickshell to hyprland.conf. Lucid installs hyprland.lua, and modules/layerrules.lua already carries that rule commented out with the reasoning, so the entry now points there and gives the hl.layer_rule call.

Checked

bash -n and shellcheck clean (the only findings are the pre-existing SC2088 tilde-in-quotes notes in the help text). Ran install.sh --with-hypr --skip-deps --no-theming --no-look --no-apps --no-wallpapers -y against a scratch $HOME with stubbed hyprctl/qs/systemctl/pkill, once with a hyprland.conf that sources two files plus one commented-out line (output above, hyprland.lua and the 14 modules installed as before) and once with none (no notice).

A lua config cannot source a .conf, so everything the old config pulled in
with source = ... stops being read the moment hyprland.conf is set aside:
hyprmod's hyprland-gui.conf, a user's own binds file. The installer now
lists those files under the replacement line and says what to do about
them, instead of leaving the missing settings to be discovered.

The troubleshooting entry still said to add a layerrule line to
hyprland.conf, which Lucid replaces with hyprland.lua. Point at the
commented-out rule in modules/layerrules.lua and give the hl.layer_rule
call for hyprland.lua.

Ciro's #7, #8, #9, #11, #14, #15, #17, #18 and the rest of #50, MrZtone's
#54 and arbelonson's #5, each credited by number. The launcher line no
longer promises a >win prefix that 1.20 never had.
