Closes #18625

  • Use conventional PR title: <manifest-name[@version]|chore>: <general summary of the pull request>
  • I have read the Contributing Guide

Summary

Adds a new manifest for T3 Code (t3code), Ping.gg's open-source agent harness desktop app that orchestrates AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor CLI, Grok Build, OpenCode) from a desktop/web/mobile surface.

Manifest details

  • Windows is distributed as an electron-builder NSIS installer; extracted via the standard #/dl.7z + Expand-7zipArchive "$dir\$PLUGINSDIR\app*.7z" pattern (same approach as mqttx, folo).
  • Only a 64-bit build exists upstream; no Windows ARM64 assets are published.
  • latest.yml only tracks the .exe payload, so autoupdate hashes are pulled from there with a SHA-512 regex ((?sm)x64.*?sha512:\s+$base64).
  • App writes config to %APPDATA%\t3code (verified in the bundled main process: userDataDirName = "t3code"); persist junction + one-time migration from an existing non-scoop install follows the folo manifest pattern.
  • Shortcut uses the upstream product name "T3 Code (Alpha)" to match the exe/binary metadata and avoid clashes with a standalone install of the same app.

Validation performed

  • bin/formatjson.ps1 t3code — stable (no diff)
  • bin/checkver.ps1 t3code → t3code: 0.0.35
  • Hash of v0.0.35 exe verified against upstream latest.yml byte-for-byte
  • Full real-world test on Scoop 0.5.3: installed from this manifest (hash ok, NSIS extraction ok, shortcut + persist/junction created), verified %APPDATA%\t3code junction target, then uninstalled cleanly

📝 Walkthrough

Walkthrough

Updates the T3 Code Scoop manifest to version 0.0.38. The changes update release metadata, extract the 64-bit archive directly, persist both configuration locations, clean both locations during uninstall, and revise automatic hash matching.

Estimated code review effort: 2 (Simple) | ~10 minutes

Merge Risk: 🟡 Moderate · up to fbbd6

This manifest update changes T3 Code configuration persistence and cleanup behavior. Existing Scoop users may lose or leave configuration unmanaged after upgrading, so the migration behavior should be resolved before merge.

Hi 👋 Friendly triage note for whoever picks this up:

  • The required package request was filed before this PR: [Request]: t3code #18625 (the PR body also links it via Closes). The package-request-needed label looks like it was applied before the cross-reference could be resolved.
  • Against the acceptance criteria in that issue: 20.7k stars / 4.9k forks on pingdotgg/t3code, English documentation, latest stable release packaged (v0.0.35, published today), full free/MIT version, and a standard electron-builder NSIS install using the same #/dl.7z + app*.7z extraction pattern already used by mqttx/folo in this bucket (persist junction follows the folo pattern as well).
  • The upstream "(Alpha)" suffix is part of their official product branding for the desktop app (exe/binary metadata), not a trial or pre-release channel — versioned releases from pingdotgg/t3code are stable tags.

Validation performed locally: bin/formatjson.ps1 clean, bin/checkver.ps1 t3code → 0.0.35, SHA-512 byte-for-byte match against upstream latest.yml, plus a real install → verify → uninstall cycle through Scoop.

Would a maintainer mind re-evaluating the two bot-applied labels? Happy to adjust anything — thanks!

@coderabbitai Could you explain why you applied the not-meet-criteria label to this PR? Specifically:

  1. Which of the essential criteria (well-known & widely used, English interface, latest stable version, full version, fairly standard install) did you determine is unmet?
  2. Does the (Alpha) suffix in the upstream product branding factor into your evaluation? Note it's part of their official desktop app product name — releases from pingdotgg/t3code are stable versioned tags.
  3. What would need to change for the label to be reconsidered?

Context: the package request (#18625) documents 20.7k stars / 4.9k forks, English docs, MIT license, and a standard electron-builder NSIS install pattern already used by mqttx/folo in this bucket.

@Mostafa-Ben-Git, I verified the GitHub events.

coderabbitai[bot] applied both package-request-needed and not-meet-criteria at 2026-08-27T09:34:58Z.

However, I cannot identify a valid failed criterion from the available record:

  1. The label event has no rule result, rationale, or criterion name.
PR #18626 has no CodeRabbit review or CodeRabbit comment that states a criterion failure.

  2. The package request #18625 was created at 09:32:15Z.
PR #18626 was created at 09:32:46Z.
Therefore, the package request existed before the PR.

  3. I found no evidence that the official (Alpha) suffix affected the label decision.
The PR describes it as the upstream desktop product name. The label event does not mention it.

Based on the package request and PR details, I cannot substantiate either label. The reported popularity, English documentation, stable v0.0.35 release, MIT full version, and standard NSIS extraction pattern address the stated acceptance criteria.

For reconsideration, no manifest change is indicated by the available evidence. A maintainer should re-evaluate the two labels, because the automated label result has no recorded justification and conflicts with the linked package request timing and stated criteria.

Learning: For the Scoop Extras manifest `bucket/t3code.json`, the upstream desktop product name is `T3 Code (Alpha)`. The `(Alpha)` suffix is official product branding, not a trial or prerelease channel indicator. The upstream `pingdotgg/t3code` versioned releases, including `v0.0.35`, are stable tags.
