Stuttering in video playback when overlay controls are showing

When you preview a video, it stutters only when the overlay playback controls are active. When they disappear, it plays fine. Moving the mouse cursor makes the overlay controls appear again, and the stutter returns. This has happened to me in all versions I've tried.

I don't know if it's the same thing but something similar happens to me too but only when I play 60fps videos. I also wouldn't say it's stuttering, just not playing at full 60fps. Plays normally as soon as the video overlay is hidden.

@emako Mine seems to be using hardware accel just fine so it's probably not that. It's been happening basically as long as I've been using this app and it doesn't really bother me since the overlay hides itself quickly. I just thought I'd check if it's just me or is it actually a thing that happens for everyone.

@emako It still happens to me. I think it might be related to how the OS handles the multi-overlay feature. I already turned off MPO with the registry command that NVIDIA published a while ago, but no luck. Or maybe is related to refresh rate and framerates?
