Summary

• Retries the native PHP_COMPILER_VM_DRIVER_EXECUTE probe up to 5 times (same policy as north-star5 step 4f3 / bootstrap-selfhost-link Gen-1+ #1492: Zend gen-0 compiler_minimal SIGSEGV after c:include M3EmitTuTrivialEchoAot.php (unblocked by #21888) #21925) so a single gen-0 free(): invalid pointer abort no longer fails the M5 fast gate.
• Documents the retry path in unit script assertions and a north-star5 4f2 comment.
• Does not restamp gen-0 fingerprints.

• Raw binary without script retry (20 runs): ok=19 fail=1 (free(): invalid pointer rc=134) — flake still present; script absorbs it
• make north-star5-verify-fast ×3 → FAST_OK 1/2/3
• Did not run ./script/release-readiness.sh (owned by Daily Release; implementer warm-up forbidden)

php-src / prior art: residual gen-0 heap teardown (#19111 / #21925); gate policy mirrors spine_fast_max_attempts=5 in script/north-star5-verify.sh.
