Problem

php script/bootstrap-inventory-triage.php ranks the top self-host CFG gap as 867 files failing parse/compile with:

Cannot use PHPCompiler\Frame as Frame because the name is already in use on line 7

Similar collisions for Context, BasicBlockHelper, VmString, VmReflection, etc. across ext/* JIT lowering files. These are not Zend parity gaps — they block compiling lib/ + ext/ through the native bootstrap pipeline even when link succeeds (make bootstrap-selfhost-link).

Snapshot: docs/bootstrap-inventory-triage-top50.json (regenerate via triage script).

php-src reference

N/A (self-host compile hygiene). Pattern: PSR-12 use + short class name reuse in same file.

claim: cursor-agent — continuing worker-lane-b run. Root cause is Linter/Runtime state leakage in bootstrap-inventory sweep (shared Linter poisons NameContext across files), not duplicate use imports in sources.

Merged via #9280

Root cause: bootstrap-inventory lint (Linter::parseForLint) parsed 2700+ files with one shared Runtime parser but never reset php-parser MultiBlockNameContext between files (#1416). Valid use PHPCompiler\Frame / Context / etc. imports were falsely reported as duplicate.

Fix: call Runtime::resetParserNameResolverBeforeParse() before each standalone lint parse; guard CompileError with $script->main->getFile().

Verification:

• parse_use_collisions=0 across 2753 inventory files (parse sweep)
• php vendor/bin/phpunit test/unit/LintBootstrapInventoryNameResolverTest.php test/unit/Ast/MultiBlockNameResolverTest.php — OK

Follow-up: regenerate docs/bootstrap-inventory-lint-snapshot.json + docs/bootstrap-inventory-triage-top50.json (full lint sweep is slow now that parse succeeds; run php script/bootstrap-inventory-lint-snapshot.php --write).

Root cause: bootstrap-inventory lint reused php-parser NameResolver state across files — not duplicate use imports in sources.

Fix: reset NameResolver in Linter::parseForLint(); fix CompileError file path in lint handler.

Verification:

• ./vendor/bin/phpunit --filter LintStandaloneNameResolverTest → OK (2 tests, 31 assertions)
• Shared-linter BcMathNumberMethod → BcmathFunction false positive: 0 issues (was 1)
• First 500 inventory files: 0 already in use alias errors

Snapshot regen (php script/bootstrap-inventory-lint-snapshot.php --write) still needed to refresh committed triage JSON.
