Problem

Self-host AOT compile-spine audit shows PHPCompiler\Compiler::compileFunc is still an entry stub under PHP_COMPILER_SELFHOST_AOT=1 + PHP_COMPILER_M3_COMPILE_DRIVER=1.

This blocks shrinking the remaining stub surface on the parseAndCompile → standalone → Compiler::compile spine.

Evidence (current)

docs/selfhost-aot-stub-audit.md (generated by script/audit-selfhost-aot-stubs.php) currently lists:

• Self-host entry stubs: PHPCompiler\Compiler::compileFunc (compiler_spine)

php-src reference

Not php-src specific; this is a self-host/bootstrap completeness gap.

Confirm Compiler::compileFunc appears under Self-host entry stubs.

Done when

• Fast self-host gates still pass:

  • make north-star5-verify-fast
