Context

./script/release-readiness.sh --full --json fails examples-aot-smoke on master (2026-07-18 release manager probe @ 78eeccdbb).

Pillar 1 (Trust) quick gates are 5/5 green (user_release_ready: yes quick). Capability-matrix, examples web smoke, and CHANGELOG stub all pass. --full is 8/9 — only AOT smoke is red.

Prior fix #19504 (003-MiniWebApp exit 134 free(): invalid pointer) closed 2026-07-16; #19979 (006-FileUploadWeb) closed 2026-07-17. This is a respin of the MiniWebApp AOT heap crash class.

Failure

examples-aot-smoke: 003-MiniWebApp: binary exited 134 munmap_chunk(): invalid pointer

Smoke executes with QUERY_STRING=route=home REQUEST_METHOD=GET (see script/examples-aot-smoke.sh MiniWebApp slice). 000–002 / other examples in the default slice were not the first failure reported by the gate.

Likely area

• Multi-file project AOT runtime / nested JIT / ObOutput lifetime (same class as Release v1.1.0: fix examples 003-MiniWebApp AOT smoke (exit 134 free(): invalid pointer) #19504, AOT: restore ObOutputExecCaptureLlvm defer — fix user-script segfault (#18832 follow-up) #19144)
• Recent php-in-php ObOutput gating: #20443 / #20444 (ObOutputJitBridge thin AOT / isThinStandaloneAotMain) landed since the last green --full path for 003
• Heap double-free / invalid unmap on project shutdown after CGI env request

Root cause

Full-frame include-binding refresh on echo / TYPE_ARG_SEND restored inherited locals over post-include slots like $scriptBase after ??, corrupting string heap → flaky munmap_chunk() / free(): invalid pointer on 003-MiniWebApp AOT (php-src-strict lifetime; same class as #19504 / #866).

Fix (PHP JIT only)

• Refresh only when the operand name is in the current include-binding refresh frame
• Alias restore after ?? skips fromLiteral temps whose compileTimeString differs from the binding (Release v1.1.0: fix examples 003-MiniWebApp AOT smoke (exit 134 free(): invalid pointer) #19504)

Verification

• Host stress: QUERY_STRING=route=home REQUEST_METHOD=GET examples/003-MiniWebApp/.phpc/bin/app → 0 fails / 200
• AOT fixtures: coalesce_scriptbase_multi_htmlspecialchars (+ coalesce/inherited/newline ladder)
• Spine gate on PR: SUCCESS

Closes the release-blocker for Pillar 2 (examples-aot-smoke / --full).

• Fixture: coalesce_scriptbase_multi_htmlspecialchars + bisect ladder entry.
• Verification (this workspace): host MiniWebApp AOT route=home rc=0; VM phpc run --project rc=0; inventory OK 5664/5664; prior full examples-aot-smoke had 003-MiniWebApp: ok under the same patch. Concurrent agent also reported stress 0/200 and merged.
