Context

./script/release-readiness.sh --full --json fails capability-matrix --check on master (2026-07-07 release manager probe).

Failure

• Gate: capability-matrix
• Message: docs/capabilities.md is out of date — run: php script/capability-matrix.php
• Observed after quick gates 5/5 green and examples AOT smoke green.

Acceptance criteria

• php script/capability-matrix.php --check succeeds in Docker harness
• ./script/docker-exec.sh -- bash -lc './script/release-readiness.sh --full --json' reports capability-matrix: ok
