Rewrite the API-billed usage profile sentence.
Add account offers Subscription or API key is not grammatical and makes the account setup behavior unclear. Use direct wording, such as: In Add account, choose Subscription or API key. API profiles show Billed per token and link to the provider's usage page.

* fix(skills, cli, trpc): make /feedback reports land on the right thread with the right versions (#7225)
* docs(skills): gate feedback on follow-ups, versions, and doctor before drafting
An audit of ~200 private feedback emails showed the waste was around the
report, not in it: follow-ups and retractions opened new threads, ~15% of
bugs were the host-registration cluster doctor already covers, reports
came from stale versions, and wrong root causes landed in titles.
- Step 0 asks whether this is a follow-up and routes it to a reply on the
CC'd email instead of a new submission.
- Compare the running version to the latest release before drafting; the
desktop-bundled CLI can't run `superset update --check`, so fall back to
the cli-latest release asset.
- Run the doctor snapshot for host/automation/terminal bugs and carry the
status JSON into the report.
- One report per root issue, one request per ask.
- Findings and hypotheses go in an Investigation section, never the title
or Summary; no unanswered checklists.
- Environment only on the public path; describe the attachment limit the
CLI now enforces.

* fix(cli,host-service): widen the feedback diagnostics bundle and report the host-service version
The diagnostics bundle only tailed macOS main.log, so Linux users got
"(no app log found)" and host bugs shipped without host-service.log. It
now records the CLI channel, host-service version and registration state,
and tails both the app log (per-platform electron-log paths) and the
per-org host-service.log. A stale manifest from a crashed host is reported
as such rather than probed.
health.check returns the host-service version and `superset status --json`
exposes it as hostServiceVersion: the desktop spawns its own bundled build,
so a standalone CLI can learn the app version from it. The health probe
moves to lib/host/health.ts so status and feedback share it.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01DhL3LXZu9TuGRwwx1gmraw
* fix(trpc, email): send feedback reports with an explicit plain-text part
Resend derives text/plain from the HTML and collapses the report's line
breaks, so Summary bullets arrived as one run-on paragraph in text
clients and quoted replies. feedbackReportText mirrors the React email
with real newlines and is passed as `text` alongside `react`. The
"customer since" date is pinned to UTC so both parts agree wherever they
render.
The email package gains bun-types and a test script so the new test
typechecks and runs in CI.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01DhL3LXZu9TuGRwwx1gmraw
* test(host-service): expect the version field on health.check
The smoke test pinned the exact health payload, so the version added for
`superset status` and the feedback diagnostics bundle made it fail.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01DhL3LXZu9TuGRwwx1gmraw
* ci(relay): only deploy the relay when the push touches its sources (#7233)
Every relay deploy restarts every Durable Object, which drops the control
socket of every connected host at the same moment. deploy-relay ran on
every push to main, so each merge cost every host a reconnect and, since
placement landed, a client-visible offline window while other edges
caught up. Cloudflare analytics show the Worker error rate jumping 3-4x in
the exact minute of each of today's deploys.
A relay-changes job runs dorny/paths-filter over the push and deploy-relay
only runs when it reports a change under apps/relay, the shared tunnel
protocol or host routing modules, patches, or this workflow.
workflow_dispatch still deploys unconditionally.

* feat(mobile): pick the agent's model and effort when starting a session (#7234)
* feat(mobile): pick the agent's model and effort when starting a session
The home composer gets one dropdown after the agent naming the model. It
opens a sheet titled with the agent: a short model list (the aliases up to
the catalog's first group), the pinned releases behind a row of their own,
and the reasoning effort under it. Picks persist per launch preset and ride
every launch of that agent from the phone — new workspaces on a host or in
the cloud, the workspace "+" sheet (which shows the pick under the agent),
the PR "Ask agent" buttons and finish-review — through the model/effort
fields the host and cloud create paths already validate against the shared
catalog. Unset sends nothing, so the agent's own default is unchanged.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01X7E4Rre3GzgfkQCPjJPzQ1
* fix(mobile): keep the model pick while the host's agent configs load
Until the configs answer, the store's preset id stands in for the launch
preset, so a send made before they arrive still carries the pick. Option
rows expose their selected state to VoiceOver, and the Indonesian and
Japanese "Effort" labels use the catalog's reasoning terms.

* fix(billing): keep warning people after the subscription is gone (#7220)
* fix(billing): keep warning people after the subscription is gone
The payment-failed card keyed on `past_due`, so it disappeared at the one
moment it mattered — when Stripe stopped retrying, cancelled, and the
organization dropped to free. All 87 organizations this happened to
recorded zero `payment_failed_banner_shown`. They were not ignoring a
warning; they were never shown one. Many are still using Superset daily
and hitting the Pro paywall, unaware their triggers stopped because a
card failed.
The lapsed card says something different because the situation is
different: paying the old invoice cannot undo a cancellation, since
Stripe will not reactivate a cancelled subscription. So it offers
"Restart Pro" into Billing rather than a "Pay now" that leads nowhere.
`lapsed` is decided in activePlan from rows it already reads. Gating the
client on `plan === "free"` instead — my first attempt — would have put a
Stripe round-trip on every app load for every past customer, a set that
only grows. It counts `unpaid` as well as `canceled` because which one
Stripe lands on after retries is a dashboard setting, and `incomplete` is
excluded because that subscription never began.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01CqWBnJKCMs4b5ZXpSUZvFA
* fix(billing): state the lapse as two facts, not one cause
Review caught that a voluntary cancellation also lands on `canceled` and
can leave its closing invoice unpaid, so the copy told people who chose
to leave that a failed charge is why they lost Pro. Eight of the
eighty-seven organizations in this cohort are exactly that case.
Both halves were true; the "so" between them was not. Say the plan ended
and say the amount went uncollected, without claiming the second caused
the first. Reads correctly for someone whose card failed and for someone
who cancelled and left a balance.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01CqWBnJKCMs4b5ZXpSUZvFA
* fix(desktop): keep the sidebar project order manual under every sort (#7192)
The Projects sort menu sorted the project list as well as the rows inside
it, so "Last active" reshuffled projects whenever an agent touched a
workspace. Sorting now stops at a project's boundary: rows and folders
sort by the mode, the project list is always the manual drag order.
Projects therefore stay draggable while a sort is active; the drag gate
splits so only a filter blocks project drags, while any non-manual sort
still blocks row drags, enforced per sortable. Menu copy follows, and the
folder header no longer shows a grab cursor while its drag is inert.
Also fixes LeaderboardRank asserting the marketing host, which failed on
any machine with a local .env.
https://claude.ai/code/session_01GvK1ZzjBWK3iCMjzY48oRR
* fix(desktop): render local images in workspace markdown files (#7238)
Markdown files opened in the workspace pane showed "Image blocked" for every image that named a file: SafeImage only allowed data: and https: sources, and nothing resolved a relative path against the file's directory anyway — the renderer's own document is the app bundle, and a cloud sandbox's files aren't on this machine.
FilePane now wraps the pane views in a MarkdownResourceProvider (the file's directory, the workspace root, a readFile over the workspace fs tRPC), and SafeImage resolves file references through it into a blob: URL. Relative paths resolve against the file's directory, a leading slash against the workspace root, file: and drive paths stay absolute. There is no workspace-root or `..` confinement: terminals and readFile already grant full machine access. UNC shares stay refused (NTLM leak on Windows). http: sources load only for markdown on disk — from a PR comment they could reach localhost or the LAN. Surfaces without a provider (GitHub bodies, comments, notices) keep blocking local paths.
Also: TipTap keeps data: images (allowBase64), undecodable bytes show the chip instead of a silent broken icon, images re-read when the markdown's disk revision moves, and Windows drive paths are decoded before classification.

* fix(billing): stop the lapsed card saying the amount twice (#7239)
Driving the real app surfaced it: the title already reads "Pro ended,
$20.00 unpaid" and the body then repeated "$20.00 from the last billing
period was never collected", which in a sidebar card that narrow is four
lines saying one thing.
Body drops the amount and keeps the two facts the title cannot carry:
the plan is gone and the triggers stopped.
Verified over CDP against the real API and database, both states:
past_due renders "Payment failed" with Pay now, lapsed renders "Pro
ended" with Restart Pro, no console errors.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01CqWBnJKCMs4b5ZXpSUZvFA
* feat(desktop): put pinned model releases behind a submenu (#7240)
The new-workspace model picker listed Claude's four aliases and ten
pinned releases in one flat Select, sixteen rows that ran off the bottom
of the window. Radix Select has no submenus, so the picker is now a
DropdownMenu: the catalog's first section stays inline and every later
section becomes a submenu row, which echoes the current pick the way the
mobile options screen already does. The trigger keeps the Select pill
classes so it still matches the agent picker beside it.
The split rule moves from the mobile screen into @superset/shared as
splitModelCatalog so both platforms read the same catalog the same way.

* feat(leaderboard): public profiles, handles, achievements and tier scoring (#7195)
* feat(leaderboard): public profiles, handles, achievements and tier scoring
Moves leaderboard_participants onto a handles + public_profiles pair, adds
per-profile awards, and replaces the min()-of-axes tier rule with a weighted
score across five axes.
Profiles now live at the root of the marketing namespace (superset.sh/handle),
with a reserved-handle list guarding real routes, a markdown view at
/md/user/<handle> for agents, search and self-pinning on the board, and a
Super Fights page.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01BFDRwxVyxSyQEf9ErJYAcA
* fix(leaderboard): address PR review on profiles, tiers and migrations
Works through the cubic and CodeRabbit review on #7195.
Migrations: public_profiles.handle becomes a composite (handle, user_id)
foreign key so a profile cannot claim a handle another user owns, and moves
from ON DELETE restrict to cascade. handles_shape now matches handleSchema
exactly. 0107 was regenerated in place -- in two steps, so the leaderboard_daily
FK repoint stays in 0108 after the row copy -- and 0108 gains a preflight that
names any legacy handle it cannot migrate plus a completeness check that fails
loudly rather than orphaning leaderboard_daily rows.
Applied against a scratch clone of the local database rebuilt to the
pre-migration state: 8/8 profiles copied with no column mismatches, 2865
leaderboard_daily and 955 factory rows intact with no orphans, and both guards
verified to fire.
Scoring: factoryScore now tracks output and cost availability separately, so a
zero output median no longer drops a real cost from the score while the cost cap
still applies. The cost cap keys off axisCost rather than windowPrs. tierGap
reports which axes were scored and the UI counts only those.
Search: leaderboard search now carries the window and metric, so results match
the view they render into, ranks come from a window function matching
getStandings, and LIKE wildcards in the term are escaped. Pinned ranks break ties
by userId the same way the table does, and getViewerProfile excludes soft-deleted
users.
Fight: cost is normalized onto the leaderboard scale and the house roster is
rescaled to USD/PR to match; equal ratings resolve by handle rather than argument
order. The "higher rating always wins" test asserted a property the simulation
does not have and is replaced with order-independence and a clear-gap favourite.
Also: HTTPS enforced before the viewer route forwards a session cookie, the md
route returns 503 on transient failures instead of crashing, the sitemap expands
profiles per locale and no longer publishes an empty list on failure, the proxy
handles trailing slashes, and the desktop profile form preserves an unsaved draft
and blocks saving over a failed load.
New user-facing strings are translated in all 16 non-English locales, and the
translation corrections raised in review are applied.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01Xrdr24hcREUs25nuN39P9P
* fix(i18n): complete truncated date-window labels and clarify wording
Follow-up to the review batch that landed mid-flight.
"Active days in the last 30" dropped its unit in cs, es, fr, pl and pt-BR,
reading as "in the last 30" with no noun. Reviewers flagged fr; the same defect
was present in the other four.
Also replaces the ambiguous German "Halte das" with "Halte dieses Niveau", and
the incomplete Japanese "{0} に獲得" with "獲得日: {0}".
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01Xrdr24hcREUs25nuN39P9P
* fix(leaderboard): address the follow-up review on the merged head
highestPerSlug kept the earliest awardedOn even when a higher tier won, so a
profile holding tier 2 showed the date tier 1 was earned. The date now travels
with the tier that is retained, and the earliest date is only preferred when the
tiers are equal.
An unranked profile (tier 0) was passed straight to tierGap, which maps it to
BANDS[0] -- the gate for tier 2 -- while the UI labelled it as tier 1. TierGate
and TierObjectives now render an explicit unranked state against the 8 active
days that actually gate promotion off zero.
ProfileFields disabled its save button on a failed load but left the inputs
enabled, so with no draft they silently swallowed every keystroke. All three are
now disabled whenever there is no draft or the query errored.
0109's completeness guard could pass against a pre-existing public_profiles row
whose values disagreed with the participant it was meant to copy. It now
compares the copied fields and fails on a mismatch. Verified both ways against a
scratch clone of the local database: silent on a clean forward run, and raising
on a planted row with different data.
Also corrects two Korean strings: a damage-based win was rendered as a win by
decision, and "new challengers" had lost its "new".
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01Xrdr24hcREUs25nuN39P9P
* fix(db): compare every copied column in the 0109 completeness guard
The stale-profile check only compared 13 of the 27 columns the copy writes, so a
pre-existing public_profiles row that differed only in an omitted column passed
validation and ON CONFLICT DO NOTHING kept the stale value. revoked_at and
flagged_at were both in the omitted set, and either one is enough to hide a
migrated profile from every public query.
Now compares all 27 data columns. created_at and updated_at stay out: they are
audit metadata rather than profile data, and a difference there cannot hide or
misrepresent a profile.
Verified against a scratch clone of the local database: silent on a clean
forward run, and raising on a planted row whose only difference is revoked_at,
which the previous check let through.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01Xrdr24hcREUs25nuN39P9P
* refactor(marketing): drop the viewer API route and call the API directly
The route existed to forward the session cookie to the API, on the premise
that the browser could not. It can: auth sets crossSubDomainCookies scoped to
the parent domain, and apps/api/src/proxy.ts already allows the marketing
origin with Access-Control-Allow-Credentials — which is exactly what apps/web
relies on for every protected procedure.
Verified against the running API: leaderboard.viewer returns 200 with the
cookie and 401 without it, from the marketing origin, and carries no
cache-control (the tRPC handler only caches leaderboard.public.*), so a
per-user response can never reach a CDN.
forwardsOverCleartext() goes with it. It only existed because the route
hand-forwarded the cookie; the browser enforces the equivalent itself.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01KTKnhsPg6GrJc66kjGjLwe
* fix(marketing): keep the sitemap under Vercel's ISR size cap (#7248)
#7195 added every public profile to the sitemap and expanded each one across all 17 locales with a full hreflang alternates map. With 1143 profiles that produced a 37.5 MB sitemap.xml, over Vercel's 19 MB prerendered-response limit, and the production marketing deploy failed with FALLBACK_BODY_TOO_LARGE.
Profiles are now listed once at their canonical bare URL with no locale expansion. fetchPublicHandles also catches leaderboard errors and returns an empty list, matching the other helpers in that file, so a leaderboard outage cannot take the whole sitemap down.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01DF3Y5qWgxpWucYVmPfkBKA
* fix(desktop): paint browser-pane overlays above the hoisted webview (#7232)
Design mode captured an element and then showed nothing: the composer
was rendered, but underneath the page. The webview is hoisted into a
body-level container, and since #6891 isolated the pane tree (so resize
handles stay under dialogs) no z-index inside a pane can reach above it.
The find bar and the load-error state were hidden the same way.
Give each pane an overlay layer in the browser runtime registry, a
sibling painted directly above its webview that mirrors its rect and
visibility, and portal everything that must cover the page into it: the
design-mode composer and click-catcher, the find bar, the error state,
and the blank-page state. Layering is now relative to the webview
instead of hoping nothing between the pane and body creates a stacking
context.
CDP-verified in the dev app: before, the composer's center hit-tested
to the webview; after, the composer, its catcher, the error overlay,
the blank state, and the find bar all hit-test to themselves and take
real input.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_013znM5EPkdfUU9q5ttZ6F7F
* feat(themes): ship Catppuccin Latte, Solarized Light, and Vellum as built-ins (#7249)
Promote three light themes from the marketplace into the app so the
picker offers more than one light option out of the box. The three
keep their marketplace ids, gain the success/highlight tokens the
built-in type expects, and Solarized Light's muted text and comment
colors move to the palette tones that actually read on cream.
A custom theme imported from the marketplace before this shipped shares
an id with a built-in and would have listed twice, so the theme store
drops those on hydration and on the CLI settings nudge, and the CLI
theme list filters the same way.
Remove the three from the marketplace listing and public JSON now that
the app ships them.

* feat(desktop): regroup the terminal link menu and rename the Open in destinations (#7251)
* feat(desktop): regroup the terminal link menu and rename the Open in destinations
Right-clicking a link in a terminal put "Open in" at the very top of the
menu, above Copy/Paste, and left "Split with New Browser" in the split
section even though "Open in" already covers it for a URL. The link
section now sits between the terminal actions and the splits, only when
the right-click landed on a link, and holds "Open in" plus a one-click
"Copy Link" ("Copy Path" for file and folder links). "Split with New
Browser" is dropped from the terminal menu; it stays on the other pane
kinds and on ⌘⇧S.
The URL destinations are renamed in the one label table Settings → Links,
the hover tooltip and the submenu all read from: "in-app browser" →
"split pane", "new browser tab" → "new tab" (it opens a workspace tab, not
a tab in another browser), "default browser" → "external browser".
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01QQjxbBasZK5EHA99YVqRgd
* fix(desktop): hide the terminal link section when the link has nowhere to open, and report a failed copy
CodeRabbit on #7251: a file link the host never resolved has no Open in
destinations, so the entry and its separator now key off the same predicate
the submenu uses. Copy Link / Copy Path surface a rejected clipboard write
as the existing "Copy failed" toast instead of an unhandled rejection.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01QQjxbBasZK5EHA99YVqRgd
* fix(desktop): compile i18n catalogs before compile:app so release builds stop failing (#7250)
Every scheduled desktop canary since 09-04 has failed on all three
platforms with:
Could not resolve "../locales/en/messages" from "packages/i18n/src/index.ts"
#7180 stopped committing the compiled Lingui catalogs and made them build
artifacts, compiled by postinstall, the predev hooks, and turbo's build
pipeline. It also gave the CLI a prebuild:dist hook because build-cli.yml
installs with --ignore-scripts on Linux, which skips postinstall.
build-desktop.yml has the same shape: `bun install --frozen --ignore-scripts`
followed by a direct `bun run compile:app`, which goes through neither turbo
nor predev. Nothing compiled the catalogs, so the renderer bundle failed to
resolve them. The 09-04 canary that succeeded was the commit right before
#7180; the first scheduled run at #7180 itself failed. release-desktop.yml
shares the same reusable workflow, so the next versioned release would have
failed too.
Add a precompile:app hook that compiles the catalogs, mirroring the CLI's
prebuild:dist. It covers canary, stable release, and the local `bun run
build` path, whose prebuild chain also calls compile:app.
Verified by deleting packages/i18n/locales/*/messages.ts and running CI's
sequence (clean:dev, generate:icons, compile:app): the hook regenerated all
17 catalogs and the build completed.

* fix(host-service): stop spawning gh for every repo while GitHub is unreachable (#7208)
* fix(host-service): stop spawning gh for every repo while GitHub is unreachable
When this host cannot reach GitHub at all (DNS down, VPN dropped), every PR
lookup failed the same way, and each one cost a gh spawn that sat on its 10s
timeout before the Octokit fallback failed the same way. Polled across dozens
of repos, one broken resolver produced thousands of spawned-and-killed gh
processes on a machine already struggling to exec anything. The per-repo
cache backoff never helped: the failure is per network, not per repo.
The PR runtime now routes its GitHub calls through one reachability gate. A
transport failure (Node/undici codes, gh's "no such host"/"dial tcp" stderr,
or an execFile timeout kill) trips it, every lookup is held for a growing
window (1 min doubling to 30 min), and the Octokit fallback is skipped for
that call since it would hang on the same network. Any success closes the
gate. HTTP failures (404, 403, 5xx) never trip it and still fall back.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01UWyngsh3WSdEM6kmf1P8s5
* fix(host-service): recognise gh's own wording for a dead resolver
gh 2.98 does not surface Go's "no such host" for a resolver failure; it
prints "error connecting to <host>" and "check your internet connection".
Neither matched the transport-failure patterns, so a dead resolver only
tripped the gate one step later through the Octokit fallback's getaddrinfo
text, costing an extra gh spawn and fallback per hold. Captured from a real
gh run and added as a test alongside the refused-proxy wording.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01SgH2iuhR1BpLuf7cu1AefF
* fix(host-service): one hold per outage, probes for explicit refreshes, and gated detail lookups
Three findings from review of the reachability gate.
Lookups run concurrently, so several pass the gate before the first fails.
Every later failure of the same outage incremented the streak and extended
the hold, so one outage could jump straight to the 30-minute cap and log
once per failure. A failure that lands while a hold is active now leaves the
hold as it is and stays silent; only the failure that opened it logs.
An explicit refresh (a PR just created, a user asking) went through the same
gate and failed without trying while a hold was active, even after the
network was back. It now probes through the hold: one call, and its success
is what reopens the gate early.
The review-decision, checks, and merge-queue lookups ran outside the gate,
so with a warm head cache they were the only gh spawns of a poll and kept
spawning during an outage. They now check the gate first, record what they
see, and skip the Octokit fallback on a transport failure.

* fix(host-service): recover GitHub polling after reachability holds
* fix(host-service,desktop): stop the PR sweep burning the GitHub quota, hold on rate limits, and say so in the sidebar (#7246)
Fixes SUPER-2107 ("PRs not showing up / inconsistent PR detection").
The PR runtime spent the user's own GitHub quota: four uncached calls per linked PR on every refresh, and any git event in any watched workspace refreshed the whole project. Once GitHub answered 403 the sweep kept existing links but never created new ones, silently.
- Git events, the safety-net sync, and the sidebar hover refresh only that workspace's ref; whole-project sweeps stay on the 5-minute timer and fire once when a hold ends.
- Review decision, checks, and merge-queue state are cached per PR (head SHA as fingerprint) through the same TTL/backoff cache as head lookups.
- The reachability gate becomes an availability gate: a rate limit holds until GitHub's reported reset, a rejected or missing credential holds with the unreachable backoff, racing failures do not extend a hold, and an explicit refresh probes through it.
- pullRequests.getByWorkspaces returns the gate status; the sidebar shows "GitHub rate limit reached" / "GitHub unreachable" / "GitHub sign-in needed" with the retry time. Translated in all 16 locales.
- GitHub error classifiers move to runtime/pull-requests/utils/github-errors.
Measured over CDP, same scripted journey on base and branch: boot sweep under 403 31 -> 2 gh calls; links back 226 s -> 3 s after the quota returns; 28 -> 0 gh calls per commit in a watched workspace; passive traffic ~52/min -> ~22/min.

* fix(desktop): stop an orphaned dev Electron from spinning on EPIPE forever (#7258)
* fix(desktop): stop an orphaned dev Electron from spinning on EPIPE forever
When electron-vite (or turbo above it) dies without signalling the dev
Electron, the main process keeps stdout/stderr pipes with no reader. The
next log write fails with EPIPE, which has no listener and surfaces as an
uncaughtException; our handler logs it to the same dead pipe, which throws
again. Sampled at ~25k exceptions per second, pinning a core until someone
kills the process (one ran for two hours today).
- Listen for stdio `error` in the dev block and treat EPIPE as the dev
runner going away, quitting through the existing termination path.
- Mark `isQuitting` on that path so the exception handlers stop logging.
- Add a 5 s hard `app.exit` deadline so a hung terminal-host teardown can
never keep an orphan alive.
Verified by running the stack behind a pipe reader and SIGKILLing the
reader, bun launcher, and electron-vite together: before, the orphan sat at
120% CPU throwing `write EPIPE` indefinitely; after, it exits in ~1.2 s.

* refactor(desktop): extract dev runner exit handling into its own module
Move the development-only shutdown wiring (forwarded signals, parent-pid
poll, stdio EPIPE) out of main/index.ts into lib/dev-runner-exit.ts with
injected deps, the same shape as lib/quit-sequence.ts, so the sequencing is
unit-testable without booting the main process. Behavior is unchanged; the
end-to-end orphan repro still exits in about a second.

* fix(desktop): forward shell actions from both embedded pane types
* fix(port-scanner): detect detached agent dev servers (#7256)
* fix(port-scanner): detect servers agents start detached from the terminal
Claude Code's background Bash and Codex's background shells spawn dev
servers with a fresh session and no controlling TTY. Once the wrapper
shell exits the server is reparented to PID 1, so walking the ppid tree
from the terminal's shell never sees it and the port never shows up.
Every descendant of a terminal still carries SUPERSET_TERMINAL_ID (or
SUPERSET_PANE_ID on the desktop's own PTY path). Each scan now reads the
process table once, builds the session trees from it, and attributes
every remaining process to the terminal in its environment, walking up
to the nearest ancestor with a readable one. Environment is read once
per pid (`ps -Eww` on macOS, /proc/<pid>/environ on Linux) and cached
until the pid exits or reparents; the steady-state cost is zero and the
cold read on a ~1500-process machine is ~75ms.
macOS hides the environment of platform binaries (zsh, sleep) and of
processes that overwrite their argv area to set a title (next-server),
which is why ancestor propagation is needed rather than optional.
Windows keeps tree-only detection.

* feat(agents): Claude and Codex subagents in the sidebar, with a live subagent pane (#7231)
* feat(agents): track Claude and Codex subagents per terminal
Register SubagentStart/SubagentStop in the managed Claude and Codex hooks
and forward every agent_id-bearing hook event to the host as a subagent
event instead of dropping it. The host keeps an in-memory roster per
terminal (start and tool events upsert, SubagentStop removes, quiet
children expire after ten minutes, cleared on a new session or terminal
end) and exposes it as binding.subagents. Subagent events never touch the
terminal's own lifecycle, chime, or resumable session id: a Codex child
reports its own thread id as session_id.

* feat(desktop): list subagents under their agent in the agents chip hover
Each running agent's subagents render nested beneath it with a tree
guide, agent type on the left and "Subagent" on the right. The chip count
still counts agents only.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01T9PbNmHemSfwnJtwvWuvsU
* feat(desktop): open a subagent's transcript as a live pane
Clicking a subagent row in the agents chip hover deep-links into the
workspace and opens a "subagent" pane that follows the child's own
transcript: Claude's subagents/agent-<id>.jsonl or the Codex child
rollout. The hook now forwards transcript_path / agent_transcript_path /
session_id on subagent events (marker v11) so the host can resolve the
child's file without touching the parent binding; the roster keeps ended
children addressable for an hour so an open pane survives their stop.
The host parses both formats into one entry shape (prompt, thinking, tool
call, tool result, answer) and tails files past 2 MB; the pane polls every
second while the child runs and sticks to the bottom like a terminal.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_016yNjDz8HwYXjrmYza9YvKC
* feat(desktop): title the subagent pane "Subagent · <type>" and link back to its parent
The tab reads "Subagent · Explore" so it is never mistaken for the parent
agent's pane, and the header carries a button that focuses the parent's
terminal pane (adding a tab for it if none is open).
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_016yNjDz8HwYXjrmYza9YvKC
* feat(desktop): count live subagents as a muted +N on the agents chip and parent row
The chip keeps counting agents; a muted +N next to it counts children
running underneath, in the same color as the child rows' "Subagent" label
and with no background, and the parent's row in the hover carries the
same +N. A workspace with one agent that has children now gets the chip,
where before it showed nothing.

* refactor(agents): register subagent transcript harnesses
Resolve child transcript paths and choose transcript parsers from the parent agent's harness through a single registry. Claude and Codex retain their existing behavior; unregistered harnesses use hook paths directly and detect known JSONL record shapes. Consolidate hook payload field aliases and accept snake_case or camelCase subagent metadata.

* fix(agents): harden the subagent roster and pane from review
Drop child events that name the parent's previous session, keep only
transcript paths that look like harness files under home, cap the roster
at 64 children per terminal, use the bytes actually read when tailing a
transcript, and give Claude records without a uuid a stable id. The pane
stops polling once the host reports a child unavailable, short multiline
tool results scroll instead of clipping, the sidebar refetches bindings
while children are shown so expired rows clear, and the chip's accessible
name includes the subagent count.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_016yNjDz8HwYXjrmYza9YvKC
* refactor(agents): isolate harness-specific subagent code behind one registry
Each harness now lives in its own file under terminal-agents/subagent-
harnesses (claude, codex, generic) built with defineSubagentHarness, which
fills every member with the shared default so an entry only has to bring a
parser. The registry owns the stop-event rule, the parent-session check,
path resolution, and description lookup; the transcript module keeps only
the generic entry type, tail reader, and input summarizer.
The store owns the subagent pipeline (recordSubagentHook,
getSubagentTranscript) so both routers shrink to validation and broadcast,
and the trust check for hook-supplied paths runs where the data is owned.
Renderer: one search-param codec (buildSubagentSearch/parseSubagentSearch)
replaces five spellings of the deep-link fields and validates the agent id;
focusOrOpenPane is shared by the page and subagent openers; the pane kind
is a constant; the transcript row uses the host's exported entry type.
Shell: one dispatch_to_host function serves both the agent and subagent
payloads (marker v13).
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_016yNjDz8HwYXjrmYza9YvKC
* fix(agents): read only the first match of a hook payload field
Claude's SubagentStop repeats agent_type inside background_tasks, so the
extractor returned two lines and the JSON it was spliced into was rejected
by the host with a 400. The stop never landed and a finished child stayed
"Running" until the roster's stale timeout. Found by filming the flow end
to end over CDP.

* feat(desktop): "N subagents" dropdown in the agent pane header

* fix(desktop): relaunch agents on the host when the default account switches (#7253)
The Usage tab's "Restart and resume" now kills and relaunches each running Claude/Codex agent on the host, records where each session went, and broadcasts a "resumed" lifecycle event. Panes follow their session whether or not they were mounted, and a session with no pane anywhere is adopted on next open instead of being stranded. Automation run links follow a restarted terminal to its successor.

* chore(desktop): bump version to 1.27.0 (host-service 1.26.0 -> 1.27.0, cli 1.26.0 -> 1.27.0) (#7261)
* feat(desktop): open the PR summary as a workspace pane from the Changes pane (#7244)
* feat(desktop): open the PR summary as a workspace pane from the Changes pane
The "Open PR #N" button in the Changes pane header used to leave the
workspace for the Pull requests screen. It now opens a `pull-request` pane
beside the diff that shows the PR view's summary side: title, GitHub link,
merge menu with its confirmation, state/author/branch/age, description, and
checks. The Code tab stays on the Pull requests screen, since the Changes
pane already shows this branch's diff; the pane header has a button to jump
there.
To share that summary between the page and the pane, the detail page is
split into `usePullRequestDetail` (the getContent query and its
invalidation), `PullRequestDetailHeader` (title, actions, meta, merge
dialog), `PullRequestSummaryContent` (description + checks), and
`resolvePullRequestDetail` (the ordered fallback ladder). The page composes
those around its tab row; the pane composes them around the workspace's own
host and project.
`openPullRequestPaneInStore` reuses an existing pull-request pane (a
workspace links one PR), retargeting it when the number changes, and
otherwise splits the active pane to the right.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_0121Fp6GEUiCgntTC8naYiUU
* feat(desktop): open the PR pane from the Review sidebar's title
The Review tab's PR title was a GitHub link. It now opens the workspace's
pull-request pane, the same one the Changes pane header opens, so the
summary lands beside the diff instead of in the browser. The pane keeps
its own GitHub link. `openPullRequestPane` joins the workspace pane
openers and threads through the sidebar to `PRHeader`, which falls back
to the GitHub anchor when no opener is supplied.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01VsCqyq5EJS5CgvTWgixMav
* feat(desktop): open the PR pane from the top bar, the created-PR toast, and workspace rows
Every remaining in-app jump to the PR now lands in the workspace's
pull-request pane instead of the Pull requests screen or GitHub:
- The top-bar PR badge menu's "Open pull request" entry.
- The "PR #N created" toast's Open action after ShipControl creates one.
- The sidebar workspace row's PR icon, and the PR icon in V2WorkspaceRow
(history dropdown, recently viewed). These live outside the workspace
route, so they record a `pull-request-pane-intent` and navigate; the
workspace page consumes it once its pane layout is ready, the same
hand-off the page pane uses.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01VsCqyq5EJS5CgvTWgixMav
* refactor(desktop): render the PR detail header as a fragment
The extracted header wrapped the title and meta rows in its own div, which
left the Pull requests page one DOM level deeper than before the split.
Rendering a fragment puts the page's markup back to byte-identical with
main; the pane wraps the header itself to draw its border and top padding.
Claude-Session: https://claude.ai/code/session_01VsCqyq5EJS5CgvTWgixMav
* fix(desktop): scope the created-PR toast's Open action to its workspace
The toast outlives the page that made it, so its Open action captured
that page's opener and would write to the old workspace's store after a
switch. It now records a workspace-scoped pull-request intent and
navigates, the same hand-off the sidebar rows use, so the pane lands in
the right workspace either way.

* fix(sentry): turn tracing off everywhere and stop reporting updater transport errors
Spans were 262M against a 5M quota, 98% from the api project. The api's
tracesSampler stored a flat 5% of ~20M requests a day (~19M spans/day, 115x
the monthly quota); its route rules never took effect. The relay, at
tracesSampleRate 0, was still storing 165k /presence spans a day because the
SDK treats 0 as "tracing on, sample nothing" and inherits a sampled parent.
Remove tracesSampleRate/tracesSampler from every Sentry init: omitting the key
is the only setting the SDK treats as disabled. No code calls startSpan.
Also broaden the desktop updater's silent network list to any net::ERR_

* fix(desktop): classify intentional git worker aborts as non-500s (#7277)
The changes git worker pool is disposed on before-quit, which rejects every
in-flight and queued task with WorkerTaskAbortedError. The procedures awaiting
those tasks turned that into INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR, and the tRPC boundary
reported each one to Sentry even though the abort was deliberate.
Give WorkerTaskAbortedError a discriminated kind (disposed | superseded |
cancelled), one per abort site, and translate it exhaustively in the git task
adapter every worker-running procedure goes through: disposed becomes
SERVICE_UNAVAILABLE, superseded and cancelled become CLIENT_CLOSED_REQUEST.
Real worker failures (WorkerTaskError: crash, non-zero exit, worker-reported
error) are untouched and still report as 500s.

* fix(host-service): classify a hollow nested-repository .git and a broken Xcode git shim as environmental (#7278)
Two git failures the status adapter did not recognise, so each reported
as a 500 on every status refresh:
- `fatal: '<path>/.git' not recognized as a git repository` is git's text
(is_submodule_modified, submodule.c) for a gitlink whose `.git` is a
directory but not a repository — what a cloud-sync client leaves behind
when it rewrites a nested repository's `.git`. The workspace resolved
fine; git dies opening the gitlink. → PRECONDITION_FAILED /
GIT_REPO_DAMAGED, alongside the unreadable-tree-object case.
- `xcode-select: Failed to locate 'git', requesting installation of
command line developer tools.` is the /usr/bin/git stub when Xcode is
installed but xcodebuild cannot load its libraries. Same condition as
the existing no-developer-tools stub, worded for a broken Xcode. →
PRECONDITION_FAILED / GIT_ENVIRONMENT, on the existing branch.
Both patterns are anchored on git's own line shape; negative cases cover
git's "not a git repository:" wording (stays NOT_GIT_REPO), the stub
naming another tool from a hook, a bad object, a merge conflict, a
network failure and a pathspec that happens to end in `.git`.

* fix(host-service): bound transcript line reads so one corrupt file cannot kill the usage worker
node:readline buffered a newline-free run without limit, so a transcript
file with a >512 MB stretch and no newline threw RangeError: Invalid
string length from inside the stream callback. That killed the host-worker
thread (HOST-SERVICE-55), the pool retried inline where the same throw
became a swallowed uncaughtException and the iteration never settled, and
the request died at the 110 s task timeout (HOST-SERVICE-56).

* fix(desktop): close a browser pane whose page closes itself and search unparseable addresses (#7282)
Two root causes in the v2 browser pane runtime.
The guest could die under the registry. Electron destroys a webview guest
whose page calls window.close() (a sign-in flow's closing page, an app
closing itself). The registry ignored the `destroyed` event, so the pane
became a zombie: every guest method threw "Invalid guestInstanceId", the
pane went blank and reload did nothing. Events queued before the
destruction (did-stop-loading, did-navigate-in-page) also threw, because
their handlers read getURL()/getTitle() from the guest. The registry now
drops the entry on `destroyed` and asks the pane to close, and the
handlers take URL and title from the events themselves.
sanitizeUrl guaranteed a scheme but not a parseable URL. Electron parses
a webview's src with `new URL()` inside connectedCallback, so inputs like
a git remote linkified in a terminal or a non-numeric port threw from
appendChild. sanitizeUrl now validates its candidate and searches
anything that cannot parse.

* fix(host-service): stop the login-shell env probe from leaking pipe descriptors (#7280)
* fix(host-service): stop the login-shell env probe from leaking pipe descriptors
The shell-environment probe spawns the user's interactive login shell with
piped stdout/stderr and only settled on the child's `close` event, which
waits for both pipes to reach EOF. A daemon started from the user's rc
files inherits the shell's stdout/stderr and keeps the write ends open
after the shell exits, so `close` never fires: the probe timed out, nothing
was cached, and this process kept its two read ends forever. The git
credential path resolves the environment on every status poll, so each
poll leaked two more descriptors until the table passed OPEN_MAX (10,240),
at which point Apple's posix_spawn file-action helpers reject every new
pipe with EBADF and no git command can be spawned at all.
The probe now completes when the shell has exited and its closing
delimiter has been read, and every settle path (success, timeout, error)
destroys the pipe read ends so a stranger holding the write ends cannot
keep them in our table. The spawn-failure diagnostics docstring now records
why exhaustion surfaces as EBADF on macOS.

* fix(desktop): classify authorization, launchd, cache-path, 5xx and staging updater failures as environmental
Six electron-updater / Squirrel.Mac failures that happen on the user's

recognise them. Match each on the most structural signal it offers: the
OSStatus number for a cancelled or refused admin authorization (-60006,
-60005, locale-independent), ENOTDIR on an updater path, a 5xx on the
release download, ditto losing a file under ShipIt's staging directory,
and launchd's disabled-job sentence, which carries no code. The

never invalidated: their key carries the changed-file list, so a further

`loadDiffFiles` hydrated them with the file as it is now. @pierre/diffs
checks that the region after the last hunk matches on both sides and
throws mid-layout, taking the workspace view down to an error page.

Marketing's server-side reads of leaderboard.public.* all leave Vercel from a

nothing at all.
Existence is ours to answer, so answer it before spawning: a missing path
is now a NOT_FOUND with a message the toast can show. Every other launcher
failure — app not installed, LaunchServices timeout, non-zero exit for a
real reason — is untouched and still reports.

* Revert "fix(marketing): don't let a refused profile read get cached (#7287)" (#7290)
This reverts commit 4cd34e3fdcf012874fad17f14635879b028217d9.
* fix(desktop): report why a terminal PTY exited before it was ready (#7284)
* fix(desktop): report why a terminal PTY exited before it was ready
createOrAttach failed with the fixed text "Session spawn failed: PTY
process exited immediately" whenever the session was dead or had no pid
after the ready wait. That one string covered a shell that ran and died
(broken rc file, uninstalled shell, preset command not found), a PTY
helper that could not open a PTY, and a helper that never answered. The
event carried nothing about which, and the renderer never showed the
message at all: the pane printed "[Connection lost. Reconnecting...]"
and retried five times, each retry another Sentry event.
The session now keeps the facts it already had in hand: the shell and
args it spawned, the PTY's exit code and signal, the helper's own error
report, and the first 2 KB the process wrote. TerminalHost throws a
TerminalSpawnFailedError whose cause is one of SHELL_EXITED,
PTY_SPAWN_FAILED or PTY_SPAWN_TIMEOUT; the daemon serializes the cause
on the socket error, the client rebuilds the error, and the terminal
router switches on the kind exhaustively. SHELL_EXITED becomes a
PRECONDITION_FAILED that names the shell and its first output line;
the two helper failures stay INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR with the reason in
the message so Sentry keeps reporting them.
The renderer reads the SHELL_EXITED cause and shows it like any other
process exit: the shell's output, the reason, "[Process exited with
code N]" and the restart prompt, instead of a reconnect loop.

* fix(desktop): open the pane stream on the first attach that succeeds
The stream setup — startStream, setStreamReady, markTerminalSessionReady —
lived only in the initial attach's onSuccess. Before the SHELL_EXITED
handling that was enough: a failed initial attach set a connection error and
the reconnect loop re-ran the initial path. Now the pane shows the exit and
waits for a key instead, so the restart that key triggers is the first attach
that succeeds — and it never started the stream. The restarted shell ran with
no daemon subscription and nothing it printed reached the pane.
Both success paths now call one openPaneStream(paneId); every step it makes
is idempotent, so a later restart re-runs it for free (and re-marks the
session ready that restart's clearTerminalSessionReady had cleared).
SPAWN_OUTPUT_HEAD_CHARS caps UTF-16 code units, not bytes: say so where it is
defined and where the cause type documents outputHead, and stop the cap from
ending on half of a surrogate pair.

* fix(desktop): apply local-db migrations by identity, not by timestamp watermark (#7291)
* fix(desktop): apply local-db migrations by identity, not by timestamp watermark
Drizzle's sqlite migrator decides what to run by comparing each migration's
journal `when` against the single highest `created_at` in
`__drizzle_migrations`. That watermark only moves forward, so a migration
arriving with a `when` below it is skipped silently and stays skipped through
every later upgrade.
`when` is when drizzle-kit generated the file, not the order files merged, so
a machine takes on a too-high watermark by running any build whose migration
was generated after — but shipped before — one still in flight elsewhere.
Branch and canary builds do that routinely.
Select pending migrations from the set of recorded `created_at` values
instead. Databases that already lost a migration heal on next launch, since
the missing `when` is simply absent from the set.

* fix(desktop): key the onboarding gate on the rendered route, not the pending one (#7293)
An un-onboarded user landing on a route that redirects on mount got an
infinite redirect ping-pong instead of the onboarding screen: the app
bounced /onboarding <-> /new-workspace ~26 times in 200ms until React
aborted the commit with "Maximum update depth exceeded" and the root
error page replaced the whole window.
`useLocation()` reports the PENDING navigation. The instant the gate's
redirect to /onboarding started, the gate re-opened while `state.matches`
still held the route being left, so that route remounted and re-fired its
own mount-time redirect, cancelling ours. Reading `state.matches` instead
ties the gate to the tree it actually renders.

* fix(marketing): stop routing one-character paths to the profile page (#7295)
`isProfileHandle` decides whether a bare path segment is a profile handle,
and it accepted a single character while `handleSchema`, which the API
enforces on the read it triggers, requires two. Scanners walking /1../7 hit
the gap: the page rendered, asked the API with a one-character handle, and
the input-validation rejection came back as an unhandled TRPCClientError.
Tighten the matcher to the shape the schema already enforces, and let the
schema use that one pattern so the copies cannot drift apart again.

* fix(desktop): wait for the terminal daemon on the right signal, and say what went wrong (#7299)
Three daemon-lifecycle failures reported as 500s, with three different causes.
`ensureConnected` let one caller do the connecting and had every concurrent
caller watch `connectionState` from the outside. Watchers reported "Connection
failed while waiting" — a message that names neither the failure nor who hit
it — and a watcher that raced the startup `listSessions` probe was told the
connection had failed when the probe had merely found no daemon, which is the
case where we should spawn one. Concurrent callers now share the one attempt
and settle on the error that actually happened.
`waitForDaemon` polled for the socket *file* for 2s, then slept 200ms and
declared the daemon ready. It never watched the process it had just spawned,
so a daemon that could not exec or died on startup was indistinguishable from
a slow one, and an unhandled "error" event on the child would have taken the
main process down. Giving up at 2s is also not free: the caller retries,
finds no socket and no pid file — the daemon writes its pid inside the
`listen` callback — and spawns a second daemon on top of the one still
booting, on a machine already slow enough to miss the deadline. It now polls
`isSocketLive()`, fails immediately with the child's exit code or spawn error
when there is one, and otherwise allows a cold `ELECTRON_RUN_AS_NODE` start
the same window the spawn lock already allows a spawn to take.
"Request timeout: createOrAttach" is left reporting: nothing in the event said
whether the daemon was wedged or the machine had stopped running either
process, and a late reply was dropped silently so we could never learn whether
the daemon answers eventually. The timeout now carries how long it really
waited, whether the daemon spoke at all during the wait, how many other
requests were stuck, and how many earlier timeouts were answered late.

* fix(host-service): apply host.db migrations by identity, not by timestamp watermark (#7300)
* fix(host-service): apply host.db migrations by identity, not by timestamp watermark
createDb ran drizzle's own sqlite migrator, which picks what to apply by
comparing each migration's journal `when` against the single highest
`created_at` in `__drizzle_migrations`. That is a watermark, not a set, and it
only moves forward: a migration arriving with a `when` below it is skipped
silently and stays skipped for the life of the database.
`when` is when drizzle-kit generated the file, not the order files merged, so a
machine takes on a too-high watermark by running any build whose migration was
generated after — but shipped before — one still in flight elsewhere. A host.db
that took a build carrying 0028 but neither 0026 nor 0027 never creates
workspace_tags or workspace_tag_settings again, so workspace.list and
project.list fail outright (HOST-SERVICE-53/54). Since 0029 reads
workspace_tag_settings and 0031 reads workspace_tags, those databases now fail
the migration itself and the host-service cannot start at all.
Route host.db through the same set-based runner the desktop's local.db got in
#7291, and move that runner to @superset/shared so the two databases share one
implementation rather than two copies of the same fix.

* fix(agent-setup): preserve agent identity and enable OpenCode session resume (#7263)
* fix(agent-setup): keep a terminal's agent identity when another harness's hooks fire
cursor-agent loads ~/.claude/settings.json and replays Claude's hooks. The
managed command there hardcoded SUPERSET_AGENT_ID=claude, which beat the
cursor-agent wrapper's export, so the host swapped the terminal's binding
to Claude carrying Cursor's session id: Claude icon in the sidebar, and a
resume that would run `claude --resume <cursor session>`. The same
relabeling hits any agent whose tool call launches a second CLI (Claude's

* test(host-service): expect the version field on health.check
The smoke test pinned the exact health payload, so the version added for
`superset status` and the feedback diagnostics bundle made it fail.
(session link removed)
* docs: weekly changelog 2026-09-06 (Changes-pane ship flow, image diffs, device-first Workspaces) (#7245)
Layering is now relative to the webview
instead of hoping nothing between the pane and body creates a stacking
context.
CDP-verified in the dev app: before, the composer's center hit-tested
to the webview; after, the composer, its catcher, the error overlay,
the blank state, and the find bar all hit-test to themselves and take
real input.

* fix(desktop): pass shell hotkeys and pointer gestures through page panes (#7257)
* fix(desktop): pass shell hotkeys and pointer gestures through page panes
* fix(port-scanner): refresh detached ownership and propagate scan errors
* fix(port-scanner): validate port ownership before termination
* feat(desktop): open a subagent's transcript as a live pane
* chore(desktop): satisfy biome in the subagent pane and link consumer
* chore(desktop): format the subagent transcript row
* fix(agents): harden the subagent roster and pane from review
Drop child events that name the parent's previous session, keep only
transcript paths that look like harness files under home, cap the roster
at 64 children per terminal, use the bytes actually read when tailing a
transcript, and give Claude records without a uuid a stable id. The pane
stops polling once the host reports a child unavailable, short multiline
tool results scroll instead of clipping, the sidebar refetches bindings
while children are shown so expired rows clear, and the chip's accessible
name includes the subagent count.
Renderer: one search-param codec (buildSubagentSearch/parseSubagentSearch)
replaces five spellings of the deep-link fields and validates the agent id;
focusOrOpenPane is shared by the page and subagent openers; the pane kind
is a constant; the transcript row uses the host's exported entry type.
Shell: one dispatch_to_host function serves both the agent and subagent
payloads (marker v13).
An agent pane whose bound agent has children running shows a muted
"N subagents" dropdown in its header; each entry opens (or focuses) that
child's live transcript pane. Hidden when there are none.
(session link removed)
* chore(desktop): bump version to 1.27.0 (host-service 1.26.0 -> 1.27.0, cli 1.26.0 -> 1.27.0) (#7261)
* feat(marketing): add a Content-Security-Policy header to superset.sh (#7265)
The marketing site shipped every security header except CSP, which is the
one header graders and vendor questionnaires flag. Mirror the web app's
policy shape, with an allowlist built from what production actually loads
(probed over CDP across /, /join-us, /leaderboard, /blog, /changelog,
/community, /fight, /stats): Google Ads gtag, Reddit pixel, Cloudflare Web
Analytics (edge-injected), the Work at a Startup embed and its hCaptcha,
the API for leaderboard pages, PostHog via the /ingest rewrite, and Sentry.

* fix(host-service): bound transcript line reads so one corrupt file cannot kill the usage worker (#7279)
* fix(host-service): bound transcript line reads so one corrupt file cannot kill the usage worker
node:readline buffered a newline-free run without limit, so a transcript
file with a >512 MB stretch and no newline threw RangeError: Invalid
string length from inside the stream callback. That killed the host-worker
thread (HOST-SERVICE-55), the pool retried inline where the same throw
became a swallowed uncaughtException and the iteration never settled, and
the request died at the 110 s task timeout (HOST-SERVICE-56).
forEachLine now splits chunks itself and skips any line past 32 MB
(measured real maximum: 5.8 MB), continuing at the next newline. The
Antigravity collector used its own readline and now shares the reader.

* fix(host-service): measure a transcript line without its CR
A CRLF line of exactly MAX_LINE_LENGTH was skipped because the trailing
CR counted toward the bound; strip it first so LF and CRLF files share
one limit.

* fix(desktop): classify authorization, launchd, cache-path, 5xx and staging updater failures as environmental (#7283)
* fix(desktop): classify authorization, launchd, cache-path, 5xx and staging updater failures as environmental
Six electron-updater / Squirrel.Mac failures that happen on the user's
machine were reaching Sentry because isEnvironmentUpdateError did not
recognise them.
The
defect-first ordering is unchanged: a signature failure still reports
even when the message also carries an authorization code.
* fix(desktop): tighten the updater 5xx and ditto matches
Only a 5xx on the packaged-app download is the CDN's; the feed fetch keeps
reporting. The ditto case requires ShipIt's staging directory, not the
word alone.
* fix(desktop): refetch Changes pane patches when git state changes (#7285)
The per-category `git.getDiffPatch` queries the pane renders from were
never invalidated: their key carries the changed-file list, so a further
edit to an already-changed file left the parsed hunks stale while
`loadDiffFiles` hydrated them with the file as it is now. @pierre/diffs
checks that the region after the last hunk matches on both sides and
throws mid-layout, taking the workspace view down to an error page.
Invalidate the patch query on `git:changed` next to the `getDiff`
invalidation it replaced.

* fix(desktop): cancel timed-out git tasks in the worker instead of terminating the thread (#7286)
Terminating a worker thread orphans the git process it spawned: the child
runs on and, once it exits, stays an unreaped zombie under the desktop main
process for the life of the app, holding a slot in the user's process table.
Every task timeout did this. Send the worker a cancel instead: the task's
git processes get the abort signal, the worker reaps them and reports, and
the thread is reused. A worker that never reports is terminated after a
grace period as before.

* fix(marketing): stop the API limiter and stale data-cache shapes from 500ing profile pages
Marketing's server-side reads of leaderboard.public.* all leave Vercel from a
shared egress address, so the API's per-IP anonymous limiter counted every
profile render as one visitor and refused reads during crawler sweeps. A
shared LEADERBOARD_INTERNAL_TOKEN now exempts those reads. The build id is
added to the fetch headers so a new deploy never reads the previous build's
data-cache entries, which is how the page received profiles without awards
or axes. A refused read renders a retry page instead of throwing.

* fix(desktop): decide a missing path ourselves before opening it externally (#7288)
openInApp/openFileInEditor handed a caller-supplied path straight to the
editor launcher. When the path was gone — an agent deleted the file, the
worktree was removed — the launcher exited non-zero and spawnAsync turned
its stderr into a plain Error, which the router surfaced as a 500 and the
Sentry middleware reported. The user saw a raw LaunchServices sentence
(with their absolute path in it) or, from the terminal link fallback,
nothing at all.
Existence is ours to answer, so answer it before spawning: a missing path
is now a NOT_FOUND with a message the toast can show. Every other launcher
failure — app not installed, LaunchServices timeout, non-zero exit for a
real reason — is untouched and still reports.

SHELL_EXITED becomes a
PRECONDITION_FAILED that names the shell and its first output line;
the two helper failures stay INTERNAL_SERVER_ERROR with the reason in
the message so Sentry keeps reporting them.
The renderer reads the SHELL_EXITED cause and shows it like any other
process exit: the shell's output, the reason, "[Process exited with
code N]" and the restart prompt, instead of a reconnect loop.
Refs DESKTOP-3H

* style: format the migration runner test
* fix(desktop): key the onboarding gate on the rendered route, not the pending one (#7293)
An un-onboarded user landing on a route that redirects on mount got an
infinite redirect ping-pong instead of the onboarding screen: the app
bounced /onboarding <-> /new-workspace ~26 times in 200ms until React
aborted the commit with "Maximum update depth exceeded" and the root
error page replaced the whole window.

* fix(shared): give the migrations barrel an explicit extension
host-service's terminal integration tests run under node --experimental-strip-types,
whose ESM resolver will not guess the extension, so the extensionless re-export
failed to resolve there.
* fix(agent-setup): preserve agent identity and enable OpenCode session resume (#7263)
* fix(agent-setup): keep a terminal's agent identity when another harness's hooks fire
cursor-agent loads ~/.claude/settings.json and replays Claude's hooks. The
managed command there hardcoded SUPERSET_AGENT_ID=claude, which beat the
cursor-agent wrapper's export, so the host swapped the terminal's binding
to Claude carrying Cursor's session id: Claude icon in the sidebar, and a
resume that would run `claude --resume <cursor session>`. The same
relabeling hits any agent whose tool call launches a second CLI (Claude's
Bash tool running `codex exec`), which hands the inner thread id to the
outer terminal's resume.
- Managed hook commands inline SUPERSET_HOOK_HARNESS (the harness whose
config fired) instead of overriding SUPERSET_AGENT_ID.
- Wrappers export SUPERSET_AGENT_ID first-wins and skip the launch report
when nested; the host already strips SUPERSET_* from PTY env, so the
variable can only come from a wrapper in the same terminal.
- notify.sh, cursor-hook.sh, gemini-hook.sh and copilot-hook.sh report the
wrapper's identity, fall back to the harness when there is no wrapper,
and drop a foreign harness's events, including Claude's config replayed
by cursor-agent without a wrapper (told by CURSOR_AGENT/CURSOR_CLI/
CURSOR_VERSION).
- Cursor registers native postToolUse/postToolUseFailure as Start for
Shell and MCP tools so a turn leaves PermissionRequest once the call the
before-hook announced completes (from #7252).

* fix(host-service): bound the diff patch, and stop depending on the launch directory (#7303)
* fix(host-service): bound the diff patch, and stop depending on the launch directory
Two unrelated worker failures, both first seen today.
HOST-SERVICE-5C: buildDiffPatch materialised a whole category's diff as one
string. `git diff` for a tracked category and a `--no-index` diff per
untracked file were each buffered whole by simple-git and then concatenated,
so the patch was as large as the repository state made it — an untracked
file's diff is the entire file. Past ~512 MB V8 refuses the string and
`Array.join` threw `RangeError: Invalid string length`, failing every file in
the Changes pane, not just the unreadable one.
git now runs under a shared byte budget: stdout is read chunk by chunk, git
is killed once the budget is spent, and the output is cut back to its last
complete `diff --git` section so no file is ever shown a diff missing its
hunks. Files past the cut get no section and render as placeholders, the same
as any other file the patch has no section for. The bound is 32 MB, the same
one #7279 put on transcript lines. Byte-for-byte output equivalence with the
simple-git path was checked on a repository with non-ASCII paths, and
simple-git's own failure rule (non-zero exit with output on stderr) is kept,
minus its habit of prefixing stdout — the patch — onto the error message.
HOST-SERVICE-5D: host-service inherits its working directory from whoever
started it, which for `superset start` is a shell that is often inside a
workspace, and it outlives that directory: deleting a workspace deletes the
worktree. Nothing in the host needs it — every path arrives absolute — but
Node reads the process working directory while bootstrapping a worker thread,
before the task script loads, so once it is unlinked no worker can start at
all. Three of those open HostWorkerPool's crash circuit and every git task
then runs on the event loop for the life of the process.
Both entrypoints now leave the launch directory at startup, and the one
worker task that read the process working directory implicitly
(readGitIdentity, through a simple-git built with no base directory) is given
the home directory explicitly.

* fix(host-service): keep a section the cut lands exactly behind, and pin the identity anchor
Merge-gate review of #7303.
The cut back to the last complete file section fired even when the budget
expired precisely on a section boundary: nothing incomplete had been read,
but `lastIndexOf` looked for an earlier header and found none, so a file
whose diff was read whole went behind the missing-section placeholder — the
whole patch, when the boundary was the first one. runDiff now keeps the first
bytes it refused, and a cut whose overflow begins the next section keeps
everything read. The test constructs a budget that expires exactly between
two sections and asserts both survive.
identity.test.ts built its expectation with the same home-anchored call the
implementation makes, so it would have passed just as well had the read
regressed to the process's own directory. It now sets one user.name in a
temporary home and a different one in a temporary repository, runs with the
process standing in the repository, and asserts the home value literally.
* fix(api): acknowledge Linear webhooks before fanning them out (#7289)
* fix(api): acknowledge Linear webhooks before fanning them out
The Linear webhook route ran every connected organization's task-mirror
and automation writes inline, in parallel. One Linear organization is
connected to 17 Superset organizations, so a bulk edit issued ~100
neon-http queries per delivery, ~40 of them at once. Each one is a miss
against the proxy's idle pool and so a permit on a per-compute semaphore
with 100 of them and a 10ms timeout: "Failed to acquire permit to
connect" (API-18). Bounding the fan-out was never affordable, because
p95 was already 15.7s against Linear's 5s timeout.
So the route now accepts an…
