   Update: restarting Claude Code fixed it for me. Looks like a stale pane state after the 1.8.0 upgrade rather than a real code-path regression on the Claude side — consistent with #3943 noting Claude Code is unaffected. Leaving the note here in case other Claude users hit the same symptom.

   Thanks, confirmed here as well. You need to open a new pane, not just restart Claude Code itself in an existing pane!
