[bug] Light theme: selected workspace has insufficient contrast in sidebar #3182
In the light theme, the selected workspace item in the left sidebar has very little visual distinction from unselected items. The background color difference is too subtle, making it hard to tell which workspace is currently active at a glance.
Steps to reproduce:
Create multiple workspaces
Select one workspace
Observe the sidebar in light theme
Expected:
The selected workspace should be clearly distinguishable from unselected ones (e.g., stronger background color, accent border, or bolder text).
Actual:
The background color difference between selected and unselected workspaces is barely noticeable.
@Kitenite The auto-generated PR #3183 was closed during the 2026-05-06 bulk audit as a stale bot PR, but the underlying issue here is still open.
Before re-attempting, I'd like to ask:
Is this issue something the maintainers are interested in fixing, or is light-theme polish a lower priority right now?
If a fresh PR is submitted, what form would make it likely to get reviewed — e.g., human-authored rather than bot-generated, additional manual testing, narrower scope?
The cubic PR's diff was small (a few oklch lightness values) and Greptile flagged only a minor CSS fallback inconsistency on --accent. Happy to put together a proper PR if there's a realistic path to merge.
Closing as a duplicate of #5608, the consolidated tracker for stale themes-appearance issues from the July 2026 stale-issue sweep (no activity since 2026-06-01). If this still applies on a current build, comment on #5608 and we'll reopen.
