V2 sidebar missing agent activity status indicator (spinner) #2610

Description

After updating to v1.2.0+ with the V2 workspace sidebar, the agent activity status indicator (spinning circle) next to workspaces is no longer visible.

In V1 sidebar, there was a 3-color status indicator:

• 🟡 Amber = agent working
• 🔴 Red = permission needed
• 🟢 Green = ready for review

This was very useful for monitoring whether a branch/workspace had an active agent session without needing to click into it.

Current behavior

The V2 sidebar shows PR status badges and diff stats (+12 -7 etc.), but no agent lifecycle activity indicator. To check if an agent is actively working on a workspace, you must click into it.

Expected behavior

The V2 sidebar should display the agent activity status indicator (spinner/color) alongside or integrated with the existing PR status badges, so users can see at a glance which workspaces have active agent sessions.

Context

• The agent lifecycle event system still works (PR fix(chat-mastra): emit agent lifecycle events for pane status indicators #2450 fixed Mastra chat agent events)
• The V2 sidebar components appear to not consume these lifecycle events
• No user-facing setting found to re-enable this in Settings > General or Settings > Agents
