   Thanks @lonestonewy and @chanverlao. To tell what stops, we need the server's log of one such turn (the terminal output, or strata-<model>.log next to the config) and the Strata version. Two known causes of "it just stops after some tool calls" are close to this:

   • A tool result or file that quotes <tool_call>, </tool_call>, <tool_response> or </tool_response> used to reach the model as the real special tokens. The model could then end its turn early with an empty reply (Strata v0.1.43 returns an empty final response when a specific string appears in the model's thinking output #2026). 0.1.43.1 fixed </tool_call>; 0.1.44 covers the other three too.
   • A reply that ends inside its thinking with no answer or call. The log then shows ended_inside_thinking.

   On the template: Strata does not use the GGUF's own Jinja template. The server ships its own (serve/chat_template.jinja), and the fixes in the repository you link are already in it or do not apply. If the log shows the model writing a call in another form (JSON, or a call without <tool_call>), try "tool_call_recovery": true in strata-<model>.json.
