feat(cli): add self-update command for automatic CLI updates #642
Description
Problem
Currently, NemoClaw users have no built-in way to check for or apply CLI updates. They must manually run npm install -g nemoclaw or clone the repository and pull changes.
Proposed Solution
Add a nemoclaw update command that:
- Checks for updates - Compares current version against the latest release from npm and GitHub
- Shows version info - Displays current vs latest version
- Applies updates - Downloads and runs the install script non-interactively
- Handles edge cases - Detects running from source and suggests

# Check for updates (default behavior)
nemoclaw update
# Update without prompting
nemoclaw update --yes
# Force check even if already current
nemoclaw update --forceOutput Example

Run 'nemoclaw update --yes' to update without prompting.
Implementation Notes
- Uses built-in Node.js
http/httpsmodules (no external dependencies) - Fetches version from both npm registry and GitHub releases (uses higher version)
- Detects running from source and suggests
git pullinstead of install script - Downloads install script with integrity verification before execution

Thanks for proposing this feature, adding a self-update command to the NemoClaw CLI could be a useful enhancement for users.

Follow-up from #644: that PR has been closed as superseded by the current installer-driven update flow.
Users can achieve the update outcome with the supported commands on
main:curl -fsSL https://www.nvidia.com/nemoclaw.sh | bashnemoclaw upgrade-sandboxes --checknemoclaw upgrade-sandboxesFor extra safety before an upgrade, users can also create a snapshot first:
nemoclaw <sandbox-name> snapshot create --name pre-upgradeThe installer is the maintained path for updating the CLI and it integrates with the sandbox-upgrade flow, so we do not need the separate self-update implementation from #644. Thanks again to @vasanth53 for proposing and working through this feature.
