What problem does this solve?
Collections are a great feature of jellyfin that can be expanded and improved by plugins like import collections or gelato to allow mdblist/trakt collections for end users. Collections at the moment seldom get used in jellyfin by end users due to the clunky interface of having to go through two menus to get to anything.
Proposed solution
User selectable individual collections on the homepage displayed as rows similar to how new releases is displayed as a row on the homepage would greatly increase the usefulness of said collections with mdblist integration. You could have 'top 10 films of the week' row with 10 rotating items updated by import collections, 'films in cinemas' 'new anime shows' etc on the homepage that the end user could customise from the collections available on the server to their liking. Dune currently implements something similar on the front page with genres (which is also an idea) but I think allowing collections on there opens up a lot of great possibilities and customisation for users, creating an experience much closer to netflix or a premium streaming service with a proper spoon-feed content engine to keep users engaged in the content on a jellyfin server. It's also something I've never seen on an android TV client of jellyfin.
Alternatives considered (optional)
If not viable to implement, even having a row available with customizable collections within it would be useful.
Additional context (optional)
It would also make sense to have said rows sorted by latest added in said context. So newer films/shows/episodes would show up first on the homepage so newer content on the server would be pushed to users front and centre.
