Why
Complements the existing capacity view with activity. SD-card wear and I/O saturation are common Pi pain points that capacity alone does not reveal.
Scope
A delta-based collector over /proc/diskstats (sectors × 512 bytes), per block device, mirroring the network collector's delta/rate approach.
Reuse & touch points
- New
internal/collector/diskio.go + fixtures.
- Copy the delta/rate pattern from
internal/collector/network.go.
- Keep a per-device history map in
collector.go, like disks/network.
API & config impact
New disk_io[] array in the snapshot plus a history map; additive.
Acceptance criteria
- Two
/proc/diskstats fixtures a known interval apart yield the expected read/write bytes-per-second.
