Finance executive. Twenty-five years in financial services — investment banking, electronic trading and market structure — across Asia, Australia and Japan.
I was there when the first direct market access connections and algorithmic trades went live across Asian stock exchanges, and I have been early to most of what has reshaped market structure since. What holds my attention is open protocols: systems whose rules are public, auditable, and not owned by the counterparty on the other side of the trade.
Elected a Fellow of FINSIA in 2013 for establishing systems for international capital flow and cross-border co-operation through the FIX Protocol Organization across Asia Pacific, North Asia, Japan and Australia.
Four frameworks for measuring digital economies — network states, startup societies and digitally-native communities that hold real capital and real populations, but that none of the standard instruments reach. Published April 2026, each openly licensed and DOI-registered.
