Summary

• add a session-scoped Set Agent Title command and prompt for Grid, classic Dispatch, and Tiled Dispatch
• persist canonical Unicode-safe titles through the existing SessionMeta workspace autosave path, with clear and no-op behavior
• render titles as a conditional second pane-header row and prefer them over latest-prompt labels in both full and compact Dispatch surfaces
• preserve the latest pane title when provider switch, rewind, or reload replaces the backing session id

Orchestrated review

Two independent Agent Code orchestrated reviewers inspected state/persistence/targeting and UI/test behavior. All four validated findings were resolved:

• retain the latest title across delayed session replacement
• unify Tiled Dispatch mini-tooltip title precedence
• enforce the 120-character input limit by Unicode code point
• re-trim after truncation to preserve canonical metadata

Verification

• npm run typecheck
• focused unit and renderer suites, including all four review regressions
• full Vitest matrix observed 1,887 passing tests; the environment-owned corpus invariant still fails because its cited ~/.claude transcript is absent
• the unrelated app-state migration test timed out once under full-suite load and passed immediately in isolation, 7/7
• npm run test:package
• git diff --check

• plain shell terminals are intentionally out of scope
