iOS Streaming Source

A generic AltStore-compatible source for (un)official iOS streaming apps. The source works with AltStore Classic and apps that support the same source format, including FlareStore, Feather, and SideStore.

Source URL

https://ikenhuub.github.io/ios-streaming-source/apps.json

An identical full-catalog alias is available at https://ikenhuub.github.io/ios-streaming-source/repo.json.

The main apps.json catalog shows every available app and variant so users can choose what to install. Nuvio Enhanced and Nuvio Full share com.nuvio.media, so installing one variant replaces the other.

AltStore-compatible source URLs

AltStore Classic, SideStore, and other clients that enforce unique bundle identifiers can use one of these complete catalogs:

  • Enhanced catalog: https://ikenhuub.github.io/ios-streaming-source/altstore-enhanced.json
  • Full catalog: https://ikenhuub.github.io/ios-streaming-source/altstore-full.json

Both contain APEX and Stremio. Choose which Nuvio variant you want included. These catalogs enforce unique bundle identifiers and pass this repository's structural validator. Actual client compatibility still requires an on-device test.

The individual Nuvio Full source is:

https://ikenhuub.github.io/ios-streaming-source/nuvio-full.json

Every published app also has an individual source hosted by this repository:

  • https://ikenhuub.github.io/ios-streaming-source/stremio.json
  • https://ikenhuub.github.io/ios-streaming-source/nuvio-enhanced.json
  • https://ikenhuub.github.io/ios-streaming-source/nuvio-full.json

Add to a sideloading store

  1. Open your sideloading store and go to Sources, Repos, or the equivalent section.
  2. Select Add Source, Add Repo, or tap the plus button.
  3. Paste the source URL appropriate for your client:
    • use apps.json for the complete catalog with every variant;
    • use altstore-enhanced.json or altstore-full.json when your client enforces unique bundle identifiers;
    • use an individual app source when you only want one app.
  4. Confirm the addition and refresh the source.

The JSON format is intended for compatible sideloading stores including FlareStore, Feather, SideStore, and AltStore Classic. Exact menus and support for multiple entries sharing a bundle identifier depend on the client.

APEX

APEX is not developed by the maintainer of this repository. The IPA is neither rehosted nor modified. Its download URL points directly to the official Catbox download published by the APEX developer in the official GitHub Release.

The bundle identifier, app version, build version, minimum iOS version, privacy descriptions, file size, and SHA-256 digest are determined directly from the downloaded IPA. The icon comes from the official repository's assets/repo_icon.png.

Stremio

The full-featured Stremio iOS app follows the unofficial gorlev/stremio-altstore source published at https://repo.omix4.one/stremio-ios.json. The IPA itself is downloaded directly and unmodified from Stremio's public dl.strem.io CDN. The updater verifies its bundle identifier, version, build, minimum iOS version, byte size, and SHA-256 digest before publishing it.

Nuvio Enhanced

Nuvio Enhanced is an actively maintained unofficial build from luqmanfadlli/NuvioMobile-Enhanced. This repository maintains its own source metadata and links directly to the latest unmodified -Enhanced.ipa published in that project's GitHub Releases. It uses Nuvio's com.nuvio.media bundle identifier, so it may replace or conflict with another Nuvio installation rather than install alongside it.

Nuvio Full

Nuvio Full is the official full build from NuvioMedia/NuvioMobile. This repository links directly to the latest unmodified full-release.ipa from the official GitHub Releases. Full and Enhanced intentionally appear as separate choices in this source, but both use com.nuvio.media; installing one therefore replaces the other.

Both Nuvio variants appear in the complete catalog. Their individual JSON files remain available for clients that enforce AltStore's unique-bundle-identifier rule.

Adding more apps later

Each app has its own entry in config/apps.json. The generic updater processes that configuration, checks the latest permitted GitHub Release (or the configured upstream source), and downloads new or changed IPAs for inspection only. New version/build pairs are added; republished builds have their download metadata refreshed without duplicating the version. Each app declares its permitted download hosts, and GitHub assets must belong to its configured repository. The IPA itself is never stored in this repository.

The updater runs every six hours and can also be started manually through GitHub Actions.

Update and verification behavior

The repository is now named ios-streaming-source. The old ios-app-source URL is unavailable; use the URLs above.

  • Scheduled updates run at minute 17 of every sixth hour, in UTC. GitHub may delay scheduled runs.
  • GitHub drafts and releases marked as prereleases are excluded. Nuvio currently publishes -beta tags with GitHub's prerelease flag unset; their current marketing versions retain the beta tag so it is visible in the catalog.
  • Nuvio Enhanced accepts both historical -enhanced.ipa and current -enhanced-release.ipa filenames. A missing IPA now fails the run instead of silently leaving an old version in place.
  • Each new or changed IPA is checked for ZIP integrity. Required metadata, privacy usage descriptions, exact byte size and SHA-256 come from that downloaded file. Entitlements remain explicitly configured; they are not extracted from code signatures by this tool.
  • Release metadata, asset changes and the selected download URL invalidate the cache. An unchanged release does not redownload the IPA on each scheduled run. Use the manual Update apps workflow's refresh option for a complete recheck.
  • All generated catalogs are structurally validated before writing. Historical versions are retained, deduplicated by version/build, and sorted by publication date.
  • Tests run before updates and on pushes/pull requests. Actions are pinned to official commit SHAs; Dependabot checks them weekly.
  • Pages deploys after a successful updater run, including updates committed using GITHUB_TOKEN. The deployment verifies all eight public JSON responses against the checked-out catalogs, their JSON content type, icons, and the current IPA ZIP headers.

Local commands (Python 3.10 or later, standard library only):

python3 -m unittest discover -s tests -v
python3 scripts/update_source.py
python3 scripts/update_source.py --refresh
python3 scripts/validate_source.py --allow-duplicate-bundles public/apps.json
python3 scripts/validate_source.py --remote --allow-duplicate-bundles public/apps.json
python3 scripts/verify_publication.py

--remote checks icons and all historical IPA links using small GET requests. A ZIP header alone is not a complete IPA integrity check; --refresh downloads and checks each current archive. GitHub API calls can use GITHUB_TOKEN to avoid the unauthenticated rate limit; the token is sent only to api.github.com.

Compatibility and responsibility

This is the classic AltStore source JSON format for sideloading, not AltStore PAL or an Apple alternative marketplace manifest. The complete catalog intentionally includes two Nuvio entries with the same bundle identifier. Use a compatible variant catalog if your client requires unique identifiers.

The maintainer does not develop APEX, Stremio, or Nuvio. IPA files are neither modified nor rehosted here. Users are responsible for signing, sideloading, and their use of the apps. Automated checks validate metadata and delivery; they do not establish that an app installs or works in FlareStore on a physical device.
