Possible issue with min range logic

The minimum range logic appears to be set to check for values greater than, but not equal to. This may also be ignoring nulls, but further investigation is required.

v0.0.3 implemented to address this issue. Testing required in next steps and possibly adoption of numeric check method (is_numeric_type) in other functions.
