Dummy structure places P-S tables and curves only for liquidus_super #905
With interior_struct.module = "dummy" and no PALEOS table set, the interior wrapper places P-S tables and melting curves in the run directory only when planet.temperature_mode = "liquidus_super" (_provide_spider_eos_tables, interior_energetics/wrapper.py around line 1058). For every other temperature mode nothing is placed. SPIDER then reads the EOS from interior_struct.eos_dir or its own lookup data, and the P-S curves only from a local Melting_curves/<melting_dir>/ folder, which has to be made by hand with tools/generate_spider_phase_boundaries.py. The P-T curves that the data layer fetches are not converted, as they are on the other paths.
The zalmoxis structure calls _provide_spider_eos_tables whenever generate_spider_tables returns None (around line 1636). Calling it the same way on the dummy path would make both structure modules resolve their tables and curves the same way, whatever the temperature mode.
Related: with the dummy structure and a PALEOS mantle_eos, SPIDER uses the PALEOS-derived curves, while Aragog reads melting_dir. So SPIDER and Aragog can run the same config on different melting curves.
