what tooling do we use for test automation?

I received a question from a work candidate:

What do you use for Android automation?

@DenBond7 is there anything specific that we use? is it just standard Android test tooling, or something more specific (libraries, frameworks) ?

As described in the README we have JUnit and Instrumentation tests.

• For JUnit tests we use "junit:junit" and a little robolectric
• For Instrumentation tests we use Espresso

It's a standard way for testing(nothing special)

By the way, README is a good place to start to investigate what we have for now.
